up.” Gunner told the wounded Hammer Squad members. The leader Ultin, a man wearing the same sand-colored outfit and a stern expression that many of the other soldiers wore, lowered his gun.

“Sorry about that, I’m Ultin. Help me move the dead and wounded.” He said.

“Move them into the truck. Anybody who can fight goes in the backseat.” Gunner told them. Ultin nodded and motioned for the only other able-soldier to help carry the dead into the trunk. Gunner turned around and opened the trunk, helping the dead into the trunk. The wounded, being two men, were loaded into the trunk while Ultin and the other man got into the back.

After everybody was loaded, Gunner closed the trunk and dashed inside. He slammed the door behind him. “Go! Go! Go” He shouted as a bullet whizzed past his head. Ash floored the gas, roaring the humvee to life. The front windshield was in pieces with bullets tearing through it by the milliseconds. The overwhelming gunfire forced Ash and Wix to duck under the console. Ash picked himself up to drive the humvee away from the facility as Gunner peeked out of his window and noticed that a humvee was chasing them.

“A humvee’s chasing us. Permission to make contact with them?” He asked. Wix picked himself up back onto the passenger seat and allowed Gunner to make contact with the humvee chasing after them. Gunner stood up and opened the hatch for the machine gun pit. He turned the machine gun around and fired at the humvee, hitting the driver in the chest and forcing the humvee to swerve to the left. As the humvee swerved to the left, another humvee appeared and poured bullets into the Aztec humvee. Gunner fired back while being grazed by bullets. The humvee’s gunner shot one of the wheels out, affecting Ash’s driving significantly. Gunner shot the front windshield, hitting both the driver and passenger and forcing them to swerve to the right and drive into a pit

“Alpha Squad Leader, report in! Hammer Squad Leader, report in! Over” Wells’s voice shouted from the transceiver. Wix took the transceiver and spoke into it.

“Alpha Leader reporting in. Over.”

“Have you met up with Hammer squad? Over.”

“Both squads are in the humvee. Hammer squad suffered 3 KIA’s and two wounded. Over.” Wix reported.

“Stay on the outskirts of HQ. Reinforcements are on their way, over!”

Wix nodded to nobody in particular. “Copy over and out.” He stated before lowering the transceiver and laying it on his lap. An explosion went off at the main facility alerting both squads. “It looks like the base will collapse before reinforcements arrive.”

“We need to do something!” Ultin shouted.

“What can we do? Three dead, two wounded, and five able men; Will that be enough against a platoon of Delta factioners?” Ash asked. Ultin opened his mouth to argue before deciding to close it. He had no way of arguing with him.

In the far distance, the sound of helicopter blades rotating in the air alerted them. Reinforcements were on their way.

“It looks like reinforcements are here!” Ultin shouted.

“Get the car in motion. We’re heading back.” Wix ordered. Ash nodded and turned the humvee around as the helicopters roared above them. The helicopter blades threw dust and dirt around as they landed, discharging their factioners.

“Riot Squad on the ground. Going into a holding pattern.” The first helicopter radioed in.

“Blackhawk Squad on the ground. Going into a holding pattern.” The second helicopter radioed in. Both squads, a total of twenty-two soldiers, maneuvered to attack the convoy while on their stomachs. They lit up the convoy while Ash charged the humvee up to them. Wix opened his door and crouched behind it.

“I’m Alpha Leader Wix, you?”

“Riot Leader Ale. You got wounded or KIA’s?”

“They’re all in the trunk,” Wix reported.

“Great.” Ale said. He grabbed a transceiver from his radioman and contacted Wells. “Riot Leader Ale reporting in. Permission to establish a casualty collection checkpoint on the outskirts of the base. Over.” He reported. He waited for a few seconds as sporadic gunfire hit the open door of the humvee.

“This is General Wells, requesting support on the north side of the main facility. Riot's Leader has permission to establish a CCC. Over”

“Blackhawk leader Zero reporting in. Heading to your position. All wounded and KIA’s are to be sent to the marked CCC. Over.” Zero ordered.

“Copy, over and out.” Ale and Wells said simultaneously. Ale then faced Wix.

“Let’s unload your humvee at the CCC,” Ale ordered. He turned to face the convoy and fired off another couple of shots. He turned back. “You’ll be defending the CCC from rogue attacks.” Wix nodded and got back into the humvee, closing the door.

Ale ducked down and fired off more shots, instructing his team to move closer to the facility.

“Take us to the CCC. We’ll be in charge of protecting the wounded and our dead.” Wix said.

“Copy, sir,” Ash said. He turned the humvee around, not hitting any of the factioners, and made their way to the CCC. Once there, they plopped the humvee in front of a few tents that were set up by Riot Squad soldiers.

Gunner sat behind the machine gun while the others got out of the humvee and carried the wounded and dead into stretchers and medical tents. Ultin and his other squad members stayed behind to help with the medics while Ash and Wix stood in front of the humvee watching as multiple explosions went off - as well as gunfire ringing out. The Delta convoy shrank to two humvees and zero cargo trucks. The rest of the vehicles were shot down by either of the squads or the helicopters above. The last two humvees were chased down and shot while trying to flee.

“Gunner! Pop a couple of shots at the humvees.” Wix ordered. Gunner nodded and pressed down on the trigger on the machine gun, roaring it to life. A lucky shot managed to hit the driver, swerving the humvee off its path and allowing the chasing squad to blast more holes into it. The second humvee attempted to evade them, but the helicopters wouldn’t allow that. The helicopter that dropped off the Riot Squad had a big spray-painted artwork of a single rose on its doors. Under the beautiful rose were missiles under it. The missiles launched from its holster and hit the humvee directly on. The humvee burst into flames, driving in a straight line as cries and shouting filled the air. The humvee then crashed in a pit as the helicopters backed off.

“This is General Wells.” Wells’s voice said from the transceiver. Ash handed Wix the transceiver and he raised it to his ear. “The Delta factioners have been dealt with. We’ve protected one of the last bases for the Aztec faction. I thank you all for your efforts, there will be a buffet later on tonight for everybody. Until then, enjoy the day, over and out.” Cheers could then be heard coming from everywhere. The small and shrinking force of the Aztec fraction managed to defeat the overwhelming force that was known as the Delta fraction. The Lost City Battle was won by the Aztecs.
