he found a key. He took the key to the elf’s cage and opened it. “Can you help my friend?” She asked once she left the cage. John nodded, slightly disoriented while unlocking the cage. The woman in the cage got out of it, revealing herself to John; she was a dark elf. John looked away from the women and towards the bandits that were fleeing from the village.

“Kill them,” muttered a dark voice. John looked around but didn’t see anybody with a deep and malicious sounding voice. “Mercy isn’t a choice for them.” John ignored the malicious words.

“What is your name?” John asked the women.

“I’m Poppy,” said the elf, who seemed to be a ditsy and airheaded woman.

“Ela,” said the dark elf. She bowed her head to John. “Our village was burned to ashes. Our people were kidnapped and are being sold to slavery. The only thing I have left is my pride and honor. Take me as your apprentice.”

“U-U-Uh… what?” John asked, confused, and startled. “A-A-Apprentice?’
