The Darkest Mind
RUNNING AWAY II
The Pweto Kingdom was she came from was about three hundred miles away, now she is into this vicious and terror during the night into this mysterious land.
The next day a couple were coming to farm into the crops. The man’s wife was six months pregnant and they were carrying their baskets and chatting very happily.
“I believe this unborn child will be a girl. Who will help me with our house’s chores?” Sifa beamed. Sifa means Praise in English.
“Nope, you’re wrong Sifa, he will actually be a boy who will help me with the farming and other manly work.” Farajah insisted. “Alright, we shall see!” Sifa teased.
Her husband was about to say something when she was interrupted by a defenseless mysterious woman on the ground.
“Uh, am I dreaming or it’s a woman I see laying there in a cold forest with her pregnancy? Farajah asked her while pointing at where Ajabu was lying.
“Yes, and she is wearing royal clothes!” Sifa answered in surprised.
“Yeah, you can say that again. Come on, let go help her!” Farajah repeated.
They marched towards Ajabu to help her, Farajah turn her around to face him.
Farajah was checking her if she was breathing after find out she was alive and her body was still warm. “Dear is she still alive?” Sifa asked.
“Yes darling she is, but she is weak!” Farajah answered after quickly gave her water.
Ajabu quickly drank to quench her thirst when Farajah put a cup of water on her lips.
Immediately after this, the man lifts her up, and both of them return quickly to the village.
CHAPTER SEVEN
Runaway
SAFETY AT LAST
Soon after walking for two miles towards the village, arriving at their house and went straight in.
Putting her on their guess room and covered her with a warm blanket.
Taking off her black cloak and put it on the hanger near her. “I will see you later when you get your strength back,” Sifa thought and marched away.
Next morning Ajabu woke up to find herself into this strange place when Sifa came in and was shocked to see her awaken.
“A-ah, w-who are you really?” Ajabu asked. “Calm down, Your Highness, we are here to help you.
And which kingdom did you come from?” Sifa questioned when her husband came in. “And what’s your name, my Queen?” Farajah interviewed.
“My name is Ajabu and I am from the Pweto Kingdom. I ran away from my kingdom, because of my unborn son is in great danger with my husband,” Queen Ajabu explained.
“What from your husband why?” Sifa informed while sited next to her.
“Well, to tell you the truth my husband has been killing all of the male children we born for him but since this one is my first I have to run away to save his life,” Ajabu responded.
“Oh, how sad but you can remain here for the day you and your son lived!
But it is so surprising for a pregnant woman like you run away for a hundred miles kingdom always here to Dubie’s village?” Farajah amazed.
“Hmm, thank you very much.” Queen Ajabu thanked. “Okay, you welcome by the way I am Farajah and this is my wife Sifa,” He introduced.
“Nice to meet you Sifa and Farajah!” Queen Ajabu beamed.
Sixteen years later Ajabu had already given birth to a son, now he grew very intelligent and strong.
Simba was sixteen of age, Sifa’s and Farajah’s daughter was fourteen years old.
Therefore Simba helps Farajah with the farm’s work while Asante meaning Thanks in English help Ajabu and her mother with the cooking

Now that afternoon Simba and Farajah returned from work in the farm, when he dropped the heavy firewood on the ground.
“Afternoon mama and howdy Asante and hello Mrs. Sifa!” Simba greeted.
“Afternoon son and how was your day with Farajah at the farm?” The Queen asked.
“Well, pretty cool but at the same time very tiring.” He nodded. “Yes, of course, more like boring to me, Simba.
“Therefore don’t say nonsense!” Asante snapped at him. Oh really?
And you just mad because I and your father always go to the farm to work.
Yet don’t you worry, you will come with us soon. And papa I guess Asante is ready to come with us too because she is becoming quite a woman,” Simba winked.
“Hum, I guess you’re right she is becoming quite a woman, Simba.
And Asante you better thanked Simba here, for tomorrow you are coming with us!” Farajah laughed. “Hahaha, thank you, papa…thank you!” She excited.
During that night time, the poisonous serpent came out to bushes, towards where the happy family were enjoying their dinner and bit Sifa’s leg.
Sifa wails in suffering while touching her leg and since they ate outside that’s where it was the snake’s opportunity to strike.
“A-a-ah, snake-snake, the snake bit me…a-a-ah!” Sifa wailed. “What snake at this hours? This is sorcery!” Farajah panicked.
Farajah was about to go get the snake poison’s medicine for his wife, but she refuses. "No-no-no, dear don't go please because it's already too late.
And Ajabu my friend, please take care of my daughter from his greedy and wicked uncle who want nothing, but wealth, ugh!" Sifa insisted and breath her last immediately.
The next day Farajah wasn’t feeling good because he been crying the all night for his dead wife.
Due to the heartbreaking, he felt for his wife’s death, Farajah collapses on the ground outside at time they were getting ready to go to the farm and died.
Asante calls her father, yet it was useless for he was already gone.
"Papa-no papa it can’t be you too? Papa, please wake up!” Asante called in tears, however, it was pointless.
“It’s shall be well my child-it shall be well. Your father is already departed.” Ajabu replied in a disappointed way.
Asante cried in Ajabu’s bosoms while she comforts her, as for Simba who picks up Farajah’s body and went to bury him next to his wife grave.
Some people came to visit the funeral, while others console Asante for her father’s and mother’s death.
