Down at the station Rasheem was able to call Shonda, “They got me babe, I won’t be home for a while I really can’t talk right now so I want you to come and see me as soon as you can iight?” Rasheem said to Shonda “Alright” she said whimpering “Be strong I’ll talk to you soon” Rasheem said before he hung up the phone. All Shonda could do was cry she felt so lost without Rasheem being in the new house. She wasn’t sure what her next move would be now that all of this happened but she knew for sure she wasn’t going back to Brooklyn. It had been a couple days and the results were back from the lab the stains of blood found on the warehouse floor came back as Greg’s blood. Since neither Tone nor Rah confessed to the killings they both were charged with two counts of first degree murder. You would think that would have been enough to get Tone talking but he lawyered up with confidence and so did Rasheem. They both ended up getting sentenced 25 to life and was shipped to Franklin County to serve their time. Being that Reesey’s information did lead to a conviction she was granted the reward money. Reesey was anonymous to the public and with the money she moved out of Linden but not out of Brooklyn and managed to keep her a nice brownstone. Shonda was able to get another job as the manager of a hotel and was making decent money to keep up the home in Alpine every other weekend she would take the long 6 ½ hr drive from Alpine to Malone, NY to visit Rasheem. On one Saturday Shonda made it to the jail a little later than usual and the last group of visitors were just being called in to get searched. While waiting she noticed a dark skinned female resembling Reesey checking in to get searched it was obvious this was the girl’s first time visiting because she was unsure of the procedure. Shonda thought to herself that can’t be Reesey what the hell would she be doing here plus this girl was clearly pregnant. Once it was Shonda’s turn to sign in she remembered the girl being three people ahead of her so she read the signature Shareese McKnight. Shonda automatically became enraged she got out of line and barged into the bathroom where Reesey was freshening up. “Bitch what the fuck you doing here!?” Shonda asked Reesey “I’m here to see the father of my child” she said with a smirk rubbing her stomach. “Yea Rasheem never wanted you to have his baby he was planning on leaving you before all this happened” She continued. Reesey was getting a real joy out of fucking Shonda’s whole world up. Hearing that was a punch to the gut for Shonda and Reesey knew it she had balls to say what she said. She knew Shonda could beat her ass but that baby in her stomach was the battery in her back. One thing Shonda had over Reesey was that she knew Rasheem better than that. She knew Shareese was lying to a certain extent but the baby could very well be his. Instead of catching a charge for beating down a pregnant woman she left the jail without seeing Rasheem not sure what their future would hold. Imprint
