a wound in his side. My wife tried to get him to come inside so that she could tend to the wound. He refused.

He reached down and placed the child in her arms. He begged us to keep you safe, that you were in great dnager and he had to lead them away. If he didn't return we were to raise the child as our own and to never tell anyone where you had come from. He placed his hand on your head one last time, then he handed me the necklace that was around his neck. He asked us to keep it for you and to give it to you one day."

Marvis reached into his pocket and withdrew something from his pocket. He reached his hand out offering it to Kerian. She reached out and took it, her hand shacking as she did. When she opened her hand inside was a small silver bird on the end of a silver chain.

Kerian's head jerked up. "Why are you telling me this?" She whispered.

"You are the daughter of the Queen of Rider's Kerian," Marvis said."The Rider's have come to take you home. There is darkness spreading throughout the kingdom. You are needed to play your part in whatever is to come."

"What do you mean in what ever is to come?" Kerian asked. "If I am suppose to go with them, you will come with us,won't you?"

"My place is here Kerian," He said, sadly. "You have done your job here.Use what you have learned here and take it to help your kingdom."
