thoughts enter my head.
I moved my hair out of my eyes and looked at him.
He couldnât keep his mind on keeping his thoughts out of my head. S-sheâs more beautiful than I thought she was. GorgeousâŠI canât believe my eyes! He thought.
I waited for him to stop gawking.
He let out a little laugh then put his hand behind his head smiling. âYou look nice.â
I smiled at him then bowed. âAs do you!â I said smiling.
He put his hand over his face. âHehâŠ,â he managed to laugh. âMay I ask why was it that you wanted me to take this form?â he asked letting his hands down.
âI want to test your skills,â I said calmly.
He looked somewhat confused. âEhâŠwhat do you mean?â he asked.
âI donât want to hurt anything in your Galaxy by accidentâŠ,â I said looking around. âLetâs go to the battle Galaxyâthe Galaxy which is meant for the Master Spirits to practice fighting,â I said looking at him.
He nodded and we teleported to the Battle Galaxy.
We made sure that there was no one around before we started anything.
âSo you want to battle?â he asked.
âNo, I want to teach you how to fight,â I explained.
âYou want to teach me how to fight?â he asked.
I nodded. âYou said your main power is ice?â I asked.
âYep, thatâs the only thing Iâm really good at,â he said. âIâm no good at healing or any of the other elementsâŠ,â he admitted.
âExactly my point. Iâll teach you how to use your other powers.â
He seemed to be following along.
âI am able to sense the stronger powers of other Spirits. Even if they do not acknowledge them themselves.â
He nodded letting me know he understood what I was saying.
âI sense fire in you. A fire that will be undefeatable by others if you use it right,â I said.
âFire? How could that be?â he asked.
âHave you ever once thought about why youâre always warm?â
He thought about it. âNow that you put it that way.... Iâve never really practiced fireâŠ,â he said.
I smiled. âThatâs why Iâm going to teach you,â I said.
He bowed as if he were ready to start training. âIt would be weird since me physical age is three years older than you⊠but shall I address you by âsenseiâ?â he asked.
âNo, just call meâŠ,â I thought about what I had told Aaron.
âI let no one call me by my first name.â
âCall me Mikazuki,â I said.
He smiled. âSo thatâs your name? I think itâs the first time Iâve heard itâif Iâm not mistaken,â he said kindly.
I smiled back. âSorry for not introducing myself sooner.â
âItâs fine,â he said.
âOkay, now to start training,â I said.
He smiled. âIâm ready!â
âSo Iâll start off teaching you fire,â I said. âClose your eyes.â
He closed his eyes and listened to me.
âFeel your blood pulsing into your veinsâŠ?â I asked.
He concentrated. âYes,â he said when he knew he could feel every beat.
âFrom your mind, send fire through your veins,â I said doing this myself.
I let only a little fire come to my hand. âFeel the raging fire,â I said.
Little by little, flames circled him.
I created a fire ball. âOpen your eyes,â I said.
He opened his eyes without hesitation.
I threw the fire ball at him.
The flames around him grew and absorbed the fire.
I shot more at him, this time they were much bigger. âKeep it up, youâre doing well!â I said.
His fire absorbed each one of my fireballs.
âSend them back!â I commanded.
All the fire he had created formed into one ball then went to a ball no bigger than my fist.
I made an ice barrier. I knew it would fall, so I put up another barrier made of water.
He pushed the fire ball to me as fast as he could.
The fire ball didnât melt, but shattered the ice, then disintegrated into the water.
He put his hands on his knees and panted. âIâveâŠnever felt that muchâŠpowerâŠ!â he said trying to catch his breath.
âGreat job! If you keep it up, then youâll have it mastered. You look like you could probably only do these three times at this rate. Even then, I think youâll end up collapsingâŠIâll teach you something else. Keep practicing that, but always do it here.â
He nodded. âHow powerfulâŠon a scale of one to ten would you say mine was?â he asked after catching his breath.
âHmmâŠprobably just a one,â I said honestly.
âOnly one!?â he exclaimed. âYou want me to learn that powerful of a move?!â
âI believe you can do it. If you would like to see its full extent, I could show you. And to be truthful, I didnât think you would even be able to get completely through my ice barrier,â I said preparing myself.
âReally?â
âIâm not lying. Here, watch,â I said closing my eyes.
Fire circled my body like chains. I made a huge firewall before making it all form into one small orbâthe size of a small pebble.
Shing watched as I put two fingers in front of my face, and the other hand out in front of me.
I sent the least amount of force as I possibly could into it then sent it off.
It landed on a huge asteroid, making the entire thing explode with a loud crash!
I quickly teleported to Shing, stepped in front of him, then put a barrier around us.
The fire sucked into one spot quickly, then exploded once again, but this time its wave of fire extended all the way past where we were and past the next three battle platforms.
When the blast went away, I let my barrier down.
Shing was gawking. âWow! Look at the damage you did!â he said.
The Battle Galaxy was a Galaxy made for fighting, so it would immediately start to regenerate after being destroyed.
I kept my back to him. I stood up straight keeping my breathing normal.
When I was sure that my breathing was steady and I wouldnât lose my breath, I turned to him. âThatâs how itâs done! I still didnât do the entire thingâŠthat was probably only a five thoughâŠI didnât really want to fully use it.â
âAmazing! Youâre not even breathing hard!â he said.
âItâs sure does take a lot of energy thoughâŠ,â I moaned. âI can only do about five of those before I run out of energy. I use it very rarely. I usually stick with the powerful, yet less energy consuming techniques,â I started. âTo tell you the truth, if I had gone all out and put my full force into it, this Galaxy would have been destroyedâIâm not saying it wouldnât regenerate thoughâŠ,â I finished.
He waited for what I was going to say next.
âPractice that every time you can, no more than once a day. When I come back next, I will show you how to make it an orb instead of a fire ball. My noble, Kein is watching EarthâŠI really donât think he can handle it for too long. Iâd better be getting back,â I said taking my Great Spirit form in place of my Master Spirit form.
Shing took his Great Spirit form as well. âOkay, Iâll be waiting your returnâŠMikazuki,â he said bowing.
I bowed to him then teleported to my Galaxy. I wonder if that helps any with the Kein problemâŠI didnât think of him once until the endâŠwhen I started thinking of Earth. I thought going to Pluto.
I stepped onto its surface then looked at Keinâs name.
The circle was no longer complete, but had a little gap.
I smiled. âSo Shing is my cure,â I said letting my hair down. I tied the golden-silk ribbon to my wrist as a memo of today.
I teleported back to the valley then took my human form.
I laughed. âI havenât had that much fun in so long!â I said to myself.
I danced around the meadow as if I were in a ballroom.
I looked at the sun, which was high in the sky. I must have been gone for a couple daysâŠ. I thought.
I looked at the rimming of the valley, which was covered in roses, then walked over to one of the rose bushes.
I picked on of the roses, being careful not to stick myself with one or the thorns. I smiled as I ran my finger, gently, over one of the pedals.
âSo you did go to see Shing?â I heard Keinâs voice ask.
I didnât face him at first. Iâve got to act normalâŠI wonder what heâll doâŠ. I thought turning around.
âUmâŠwellâŠ,â I said still holding the rose.
âSo itâs trueâŠI was wondering why you were gone for so long,â he said. âFour daysâŠI really didnât think you would be gone for so long,â he said looking me in the eyes.
âEhâŠwell,â I started. I squeezed the roseâs stem. âOuch!â I said dropping it.
A drop of blood trickled down my finger.
RosesâŠso beautifulâŠyet they can be so deceivingâŠ. I thought watching it drip. I didnât heal myself, but instead I held my hand in front of me.
Kein walk over to me seeing I wasnât going to heal myself. He started to take my hand before I pulled away from him.
I turned my back to him. It hurtsâŠhe hurts me much moreâŠ. I thought.
He put his hand on my shoulder.
I watched as my finger healed. âWhy?â I asked.
âWhat?â
âWhy would you heal me?â I asked keeping my back to him.
He didnât answer.
âPlease leave me be,â I said walking out of the valley.
Kein picked the rose up and looked at it before taking it out of the valley with him.
Almost a year passed; I rarely talked to Kein.
I had been visiting Shing about twice a month, as well as visiting Aaron about once a month.
I was in the valley again with Kein; we just had another argument about ShingâŠ. Keinâs circle has about one third left until itâs completely gone.
I let out a sharp whistle.
A black horse with a white main and tail came running into the valley. It gracefully galloped towards me.
I walked to meet her. âGood day, Avilion,â I said petting her neck.
She whinnied then put her nose in my hands. Have you brought any goodies? She thought.
I laughed. âIâm sorry girl, I donât have any right now,â I said rubbing her forehead.
She seemed to look at Kein then back to me. You seem saddenedâŠis it something he has done? She asked.
I put my head to hers and smiled. Not reallyâŠwellâŠ.
So yesâŠit was him?
I let go of her head and went to her side.
She watched me still wanting me to answer her question.
âI guess,â I said.
She snorted at Kein then stomped her foot.
âCalm down, Avilion,â I said patting her neck.
She was still angry. How dare he make you sad! She exclaimed.
Kein stood still but looked at me.
I looked away. Letâs go, Avilion. âIâll be back by sundown,â
She turned her head to the side to look at me. Where to? She asked.
âAnywhere is fine,â I said leaning down to her withers. Anywhere but near KeinâŠ. I said.
She snorted at Kein once more then lifted her head high to gracefully gallop out of the valley.
I kept my head close to her neck. âGentle girl, we donât want to be heard,â I told her as I patted her neck.
Her ears fell back as if she were listening to me. Would you like to go into the human village? She asked.
