Read FICTION books online

Reading books fiction Have you ever thought about what fiction is? Probably, such a question may seem surprising: and so everything is clear. Every person throughout his life has to repeatedly create the works he needs for specific purposes - statements, autobiographies, dictations - using not gypsum or clay, not musical notes, not paints, but just a word. At the same time, almost every person will be very surprised if he is told that he thereby created a work of fiction, which is very different from visual art, music and sculpture making. However, everyone understands that a student's essay or dictation is fundamentally different from novels, short stories, news that are created by professional writers. In the works of professionals there is the most important difference - excogitation. But, oddly enough, in a school literature course, you don’t realize the full power of fiction. room. “Um how about Timmy for starters,” I said nodding toward Timmy Nelson, an unusually small, pale boy with hair as big and dull as the school, who eyed Raven graciously. Adam’s heart beat quickened; he was jealous. “You better or he will,” I said. He got up walked over and turned right back around and sat down. I stared at him. “What was that?” I asked incredulously. He stared at me with nervous eyes. “I’ve never…done anything like this.” I sighed and said “Come on, grow a pair and go ask her.” He looked shocked. I sighed. “You want me to ask her for you? I mean you’re gonna look weak but I’ll do it if you want.” He shook his head. “I got this,” he said and took a deep breath and walked toward Raven and tapped her on her shoulder. Raven flinched and looked up. Her long brown hair finally out of her face. I heard him make small talk; asking her about the book and homework and then school. She just stared at him, waiting, and then finally he said “So um…you going to the dance?” She shook her head and said “No one ever asks me.” He nodded and said “Well…um…do you…wanna go with…m-me?” She stared at him like he said something in Italian and then quickly looked down and blushed delicately. “Oh no,” she said in her whisper quite voice. She shook her head and said “Me and dancing don’t go together, ill just probably make a fool of myself.” “Please?” he begged. She looked up and thought for a minute and said “Oh..kay,” he smiled with delight and said “Er…ill pick you up at six?” She blushed and nodded, still looking down. He turned around and walked back and sat down and exhaled a huge gust. I smiled at him and said “How did it go?” He smiled at me and said “I got a date.” I smiled and high-fived him. Then Mr. Mason called the class to the front; I shot a look at Blake and saw him staring at me as usual. “Alright class, the highest score, well I mean scores, are from Miss. Cullen with a 100 percent A and Mr. Vandergilt with a 100 percent A. Please give them a round of applause.” Everyone applauded. Hmm…we both got good grades. “The rest of you should delegate yourselves to achieve grades such as Miss. Cullen and Mr. Vandergilt,” he chided the class. Then he turned around and sat at his desk and started reading his book, giving us the signal that we were free. Adam turned to me and stretched his right hand out to me. “Congrats Renesmee.” I shook his hand and said “Thanks.” I looked up and saw Blake get up and walk over. “So it seems no one wins and no one loses.” “I guess, though I sure would have wanted to win so you would stop talking to me.” He sat down on the table, right in front of me; I flinched back and scooted my chair back and crossed my arms again. “Well if I weren’t a prodigy maybe your wish would have been possible,” He said and smiled at me. “Wait what?” I asked. He waited. “So you’re saying you’re a prodigy?” I asked. He nodded and said “I guess it isn’t fair...” I sighed with happiness. This acknowledgement cleared my mind and made me relax; this human boy wasn’t even really human. Now that he cleared that up, I actually wanted to like him. “What are you thinking about?” he asked me, suddenly beside me. I flinched and stared at him. “When did you get there?” I asked, confused. He laughed. “Renesmee it’s not my fault if you dose off and don’t notice your surroundings.” I shrugged and smiled. “So what were you thinking about?” he asked again. I thought it through because I didn’t want it coming out sounding wrong. “Well I was thinking that now since you aren’t trying to steal my title, I actually want to try to like you.” As I said this, a twinkle came to his eyes. Uh oh, definitely came out wrong.

He stared at me with those deep grey blue eyes and had me speechless. The bell rang, loud and demanding, and made me jump. He laughed and said “Shall I walk you to lunch today?” I looked at him and said “Um no thank you, I made plans with Anna already.” He nodded and smiled and said “Alright then, I’ll see you soon.” I got up and walked over to Anna and nudged her. “Ready?” I asked. She looked at me and said “I can’t, I have to make up this test or I won’t be able to go to the dance, I’m so sorry,” she said in a sincere voice. I shook my head and said “Don’t worry about it, its fine. I’ll see you later then okay?” She nodded and said “So sorry,” again. I smiled and left. “You’re not going to lunch today?” Blake asked Anna. “Um no…why?” “Well I wanted to walk Renesmee to lunch but she said she had plans with you,” His tone sounded distrustful. “Well we were, but I have to stay to make up a test.” “Oh well thank you for your time.” I suppose I should’ve started running or something but instead I walked slower. He eventually caught up with me and breathlessly asked “Since your friend is busy, can I join you?” “Um…sure,” I said. We walked in silence until we got to the cafeteria. “What would you like?” he asked. “Oh,” I said feeling flustered. “Um…I can buy my own lunch really.” He shook his head and said “This is on me.” I sighed and said “Um…pizza and fruit punch?” he laughed and ordered two slices of pizza and two cans of fruit punch. He held the tray and walked to a deserted table and pulled out my chair for me. I smiled with delight and watched him sit across from me. We started eating and chatting about everything and anything. I really did like Blake. “So where have you gone?” he asked me. “Well I’ve been all over the world, Africa, Brazil, Mexico, Egypt, London, Paris, Rome. “ I shrugged. “What about you?” “Hm…well I’ve never been to any of those places, but I intend to someday …” “Well there lovely places,” I said smiling at him. “So where do you intend to go to school next year?” he asked curiously. “Well…I’m not quite sure…” I said tracing the lid of my can. “What’s the matter?” he asked, probably alerted by the sudden sorrow on my face. I sighed and said “All the schools are so far away…and there’s so much I’m going to miss…” my throat got all tight and my stomach knotted. He nodded and said “I understand, well I’ve lived on my own since I was six so I’m used to it,” and shrugged. “You’ve lived by yourself since you were six?” I asked, shocked. He smiled and said “Well my parents are alive and well but they traveled all the time, leaving me with a jar full of money, a cell phone, and anything I wanted.” Towards the end, his joking tone had vanished and turned sad. Without thinking, I placed my right hand on his left hand and gave it a gentle squeeze; his hands were warm, and strong. He stared at me shocked. I smiled. His heart beat faster and his face turned a deep crimson. I breathed in and the scent burned my throat; ouch. I needed to go hunting soon. He turned my hand so that he now held it and reached across the table to retrieve my left hand; He leaned in and gazed at me. I took myself out of the situation and looked from out there, we looked like a couple! I kept the smile in place with some effort but took my hands away from his; I was starting to feel uncomfortable. He smiled as my hands slid back and quickly grabbed my right hand and held it firmly. “Blake,” I said, starting to get irritated. “What?” he asked with wide innocent eyes. I sighed and said “Let my hand go.” “Why?” he challenged. I sighed again. “People are starting to look Blake.” And it was true; nearly everyone was throwing glances over here.” He turned his head and looked around the room and turned back to me and smiled and said “So? Who cares what they think?” I stared at him…did he really think we were together? I shook my head and ripped my right hand out of his and said “Blake, you walked me to lunch, that’s it,” I said a bit too harshly. His face fell. I sighed and made my voice soft and kind “Blake, we’ve just met, we don’t even really know each other.” He looked at me and sighed and said “I guess…but after time?” he asked eagerly. I had to kill his hope now. I looked down and played with the promise ring Jake had given me on my second Birthday. “Blake…I don’t think we could…ever…” I couldn’t finish. He was silent. Finally he said “Is there someone else?” in a husky, sadden voice. As sad as this was, I couldn’t help but smile a bit. “Yes…he’s been here the whole time,” I said looking up at him and smiling a bit, hoping he would understand. He sighed heavily and said “Well…we should be getting to class.” I looked up and saw everyone leaving, eyeing us. I nodded and got up and picked up my trash. He made no approach to move, he sat there staring at nothing. “Blake,” I called. He didn’t look up. I sighed and put my trash down and walked over to him and crouched by him and said “Blake, come on, the bell rang.” He sighed and said “You…go ahead. I’ll catch you later.” I felt so bad. I sighed and said “Blake, this isn’t some lame excuse to just say no to you, really.” He nodded and said nothing. I shook my head and said “Come on, you don’t wanna be late.” He closed his eyes and said “I just kinda wanna be alone right now…” I rolled my eyes; see this was the exact reason why I never dated human boys, they were so dramatic. “Okay,” I said and walked away leaving him and his human hormones behind. I got to class just as the bell rang, so I knew he was late. I sat in my seat and could feel the stares from all over the room, even from Luna. I couldn’t really concentrate in class, Blake’s rejected face made me feel guilty…but it’s not my fault I was in love with a werewolf! Guilt made a fine, thick blanket around me and kept pulling Blake’s rejected face back up. Finally class was over and everyone packed up, and started leaving. Luna looked at me and said “You’re my best friend and you don’t even tell me?” she said in her French accent. My brows furrowed. “What are you talking about Luna?” I asked shocked. “I mean it’s weird because you didn’t like the human boy’s gut but now you’re sitting at lunch with him but it’s even weirder going to the dance with No brain.“ I stared at her, not comprehending what she was saying. “What?” I asked in shock the guilt disappearing. She looked at me and said “No brain said you were going with him to the dance.” My teeth grinded together and my face became hot red in a second. Phil was telling people we were going to the dance together! That must have been why Blake was so down! Anger pulsed deep and fast in my blood. Luna stared at me, smiled and relaxed. “I thought it was true, whoo, glad it’s not, because if it was, I
