That night, I heard a crashing noise. A voice sounding familiar filled the house. The door creaked open. It was Mother's ghost! She was overjoyed to see me.
'Mother!' I whispered.
'Hello, Emily.' Mother whispered calmly. 'Heaven is a non-moving Titanic for me.'
'Wow!' I relaxed on my cushion. We had a whale of a time whispering about Heaven and how I'd been adopted by Anna's mother Sara. Mother went at midnight.
I was still grieving the next morning. I was very depressed. I only ate half of my breakfast, a quarter of lunch and only a mothful of tea. This happened for about a week.
Sara came in when I was getting ready for bed one night to see if I was alright.
What she didn't know was I was dying. Fast.
She got me a glass of water and prayed for me.
'Sara, do you think that I'll see Mother in Heaven?'
'Yes. It'll be like you're on Titanic again.' She said.
Anna came in to wish me goodbye. She started to cry. I tried to reassure her that everything would be alright, but she still wouldn't believe me. I reassured her that I'd be in a safe place with Mother. She held my hand.
As I stared at the moon, I blacked out.
This was the end.
Epilogue - Back On Titanic
I woke up in the bed I had on Titanic. I looked around me and I was in my and Mother's bedroom suite. Mother then came in and smiled.
'I told you so!' she cried.
I didn't know what she meant yet.
As Mother and I went through the whole area, I knew what she meant. All of the maids were there, smiling and waving at us.
'We're back, Emily.'
'Back where, Mother?'
'We're back on Titanic.'

Have you ever thought about what fiction is? Probably, such a question may seem surprising: and so everything is clear. Every person throughout his life has to repeatedly create the works he needs for specific purposes - statements, autobiographies, dictations - using not gypsum or clay, not musical notes, not paints, but just a word. At the same time, almost every person will be very surprised if he is told that he thereby created a work of fiction, which is very different from visual art, music and sculpture making. However, everyone understands that a student's essay or dictation is fundamentally different from novels, short stories, news that are created by professional writers. In the works of professionals there is the most important difference - excogitation. But, oddly enough, in a school literature course, you don’t realize the full power of fiction. So using our website in your free time discover fiction for yourself.
