. At that instant she ceased and the entirety of the pain hit me like a boulder. I let the scream I had been holding loose and then fell unconcious in the waves of pain that followed I heard 'Calcipher I'm sorry'

I woke to find my wounds healed and my shirt off. I looked down to the end of my bed where Cassy stood fighting with my serving boy. The young imp looked furious as he squeaked “I was told to bring him this message and this meal and to give the message to no one but him and you are not him!”
“Cassy its alright” I said and they looked at me. The imp plodded over and handed me a stack of letters as thick as my hand then set the food tray infront of me and disappeared. I looked down at the letters in my hand and sighed “Cassy Status report”
“It is three days since you were injured. Since then they”she said it with contempt “have remained imobile and we have been working to heal you and restock our supplys since few of our supply trains ever reach us.” She turned to leave and I saw her ankle soaked in blood. “Cassy you should have me look at that” at first she kept walking but then I saw that it hurt too bad and she turned once again to face me. I got up to my full height and was towering over her then I crouched to get a better look at her ankle. It was a skim from an arrow but she had never let it settle. “Cassy” I scolded her she was of no use to me if she could not walk. I led her to a chair and forcefully sat her down. She looked up at me annoyed. “Calcipher I am fine”
“NO your not. I need you to be able to walk.” she shied away as the heat rolled off of my skin. I calmed myself and started to work on her ankle. “Bite this” I said handing her my knife. She did and I began to drip the acid onto her ankle. I heard her quickly intake breath as the skin on her ankle began to pull together.
“Dont stand on that for a while” I turned and walked to the medicine cabinet I put the acid away and turned to find Cassy sprawled out on my bed. 'oh no' I thought not again.
“Cassy dont do this again”
“Why Calcipher is there someone else?”
“NO but you need to get out of my room”
“Why I am the best thing for you”
“NO you are the best thing to me but not for me.”
“Fine I will leave”
“Thank you”
“Good bye sir”
and with that she left slamming the door behind her. I could not wait any longer I had to see Anaxia. I slung myself out the window and started to run. I reached the middle of the field that separated us from them. I pushed my thoughts out to find her. 'Ana can you meet me?'

it took a minute for her to answer 'yes I will meet you there'

I started to run to the spot where we would always meet deep in the woods hidden from unfriendly eyes. I got to the clearing and stepped into the calming waters of the glade.


Chapter 3
Together at last
I walked into the glade and there he was standing there perfect.He turned to me when he felt my presence and I saw the reaction I had been looking foreward to for days. The look of utter joy and love. He ran and embraced me in his arms and I felt the heat roll off of his skin as his lips found mine. We walked into the glade and soon were immersed in the whiles of heated love.

“Did I hurt you very badly?” I murmered into his warm skin as we lay embraced on the shore
“nothing I have not felt before” he murmered into my hair.
“Ah I feel terrible. Not only did I hurt you but then I failed you too.”
“I would rather die a thousand times than to hear you say that again” he whispered against my shoulder.
I began to sob into his chest and his embrace only tightened and I began to realize that he really did not care.
“Did I hurt you?” he asked curiously after my tears had stopped
“Yea you did you landed four blows on me.”
“Where?” he asked mortified
“Here” I whispered and I moved his hand to my shoulder “ You caught me with the edge of your knife”. “Here” I moved his hand to my face “You slightly burned me”. “Here” I moved his hand to my thigh “You stabbed me” “and Here” I moved his hand to the small of my back “You elbowed me”. He looked at me and his eyes started to tear
“Love I am so sorry” he began to sob openly and it was my turn to tighten my embrace. I let my love flow over him in waves. His tears hit my skin and I did not notice. He suddenly grabbed my thigh by the knee and hitched it over his hip. His lips found mine and I became submerged in ecstasy as his hot skin moved over mine. I loved him more than ever in that moment. Suspended in time and love never wanting to move again except to follow him to the ends of the earth.

Calcipher
I woke in the morning to find Anaxia dressed and standing on lookout. She was radiant in the dim light that was up this early. I rolled over so that I was facing her and she turned around. She walked over and I got up. I found my pants on the shore where they had been thrown the night before. I put them on and turned to face Ana and she was gone. I walked over to where she had been and looked around. I caught a quick glimpse of her leg and followed. She ran into a clearing and when I caught up she whirled around and grabbed me behind the neck pulled me close and kissed my lips so sweetly I thought that I would die from happiness.
“Calcipher you are like a drug to me” she whispered
“And you are mine love” I whispered back between kisses
“I need a break”
“What do you mean?” by this time I had stopped kissing her and was holding her out by the shoulders so that I could see her.
“Calcipher we have a week all to ourselves because our parties think that we are scouting. But I need a day of just me I need to hunt. I cant have you around or I might attack you.”
I knew what she meant then she had to feed and I knew what she meant about me being a drug. It was hard for her to resist biting me. She was a species of elf that needs to feed on blood to survive.
“Calcipher check your shoulder” I looked down and there on my shoulder was a bite mark.
“Love when did that happen.”
“Last night just after you stopped crying”
I knew what she had to do and I knew it was hard for her so I bent down and gently kissed her once more and whispered
“Go love I will see you tonight” and with that she was gone.

I walked away from Calcipher feeling like a piece of my heart had been ripped out and left with him. But I knew that I could not think about that while I was hunting so I put it out of my mind and ran. Ran from the pain and ran so that I would sooner be united with Calcipher.

As I stood there and watched the spot where Anaxia had disappeared. I felt a deeper and deeper sense of loss the further I felt her go. And then she got so far that I was totally and utterly alone. I walked back to the shore where we had spent the night and searched for my shirt. I found it and put it on then I sat on a rock and waited. I would wait until my love returned. And so there I sat.

I walked into the clearing and found the deer that I had been tracking had started to graze and as I walked into the clearing I spooked her and she started to run. However she could not get far enough before I was upon her and my jaws clamped around her neck. She kept freaking out as she and I tumbled down the side of a hill. We reached the bottom and after a few more panicked seconds the deer lay limp. I fed off the creature thanked its spirit for the sacrifice and started back up the hill. When I reached the top I sat down to rest. I knew that I needed it or I would never make it back to Calcipher. I got up and started at a walk and then my feelings got the better of me and I broke into a run faster than death.

I felt her before I saw her and when I saw her my pain lifted. Before I knew what was happening she was in my arms and I was kissing her as if my life depended on it. She pulled away and pushed me down onto the ground then she was back and her black hair fell around her face. My hands traced the perfect curves of her body and I was lost in love.

As I kissed him the missing part of me fell back into place. It felt so good to be wanted as he wanted me. I loved him and he knew it. As our bodies moved over eachother I knew then and there that I would never want another man as long as I could possibly live.

I woke once again in his arms and I felt the warmth of his chest against mine and I was happy. I looked down and saw a terrible sight. I had bit him again. I jumped back onto a tall rock. This woke him and he looked at me like I had stabbed him by doing so. I looked back at him and a tear ran down my cheek. He got up and walked to the base of the rock and looked up at me I looked down at him and began to sob. He reached up and grabbed my wrist and pulled me down to him with immense gentle strength. I sobbed into his shoulder.
“Love what is wrong? Arent you happy that we are here together?”
“I am Calcipher and I love you but I cant stand the thought of hurting you again.”
“Then stop crying. Seeing you sad is the greatest pain I know besides seeing you hurt or near death.”
“Calcipher I bit you again.” I was crying even harder now.
“Oh so you did” he started to laugh “Ana I cant feel that over the love I feel for you.”
I chocked on a sob and he pulled me out and kissed me I kissed him back as if my life was hanginng in the balance. I then
