Sirens from the ambulances and the cars from the LAPD could be heard only minutes away, the alarm in the stadium not being able to drown out the voices of the screaming and yelling. A loud booming voice seemed to be giving out directions through the speakers, but no one was listening, nor could they even hear what they were being told to do. Hundreds were fleeing for shelter as if a tornado just hit, and others were crouched down into balls, frozen in fright and shock.
Outside the centre, the bright lights surrounding the centre looked upon the thousands running in and out, towards the parking lot and roads. Vehicles that were traveling down Cherry and Chick Hearn road had to stop as groups ran across, scared and crying, as the roads were being wrecked upon with speeding cars. Traffic control personnel’s had to guide traffic after the fifteen minute mark. It was disastrous, something that was not prepared for.
A police cruiser drove slowly through the mess of anxiety and stopped as close to entrance as would be allowed. The two officers inside were one of the first to arrive at the scene, and could hear more following behind. This would be a night to remember, and a God awful mess of a case to solve.
Officer Darren Wicks stepped out from the passenger side and stared out into the effect of what a dastardly act could cause civilization to be with just one simple action from one lone individual, who he suspected, was still inside the stadium.
