He thought this must be due to his charisma or business acumen when, in fact, he was unable to fail in this rigged system when he had been born with a silver spoon in his mouth and inherited numerous trust funds and tax-free “gifts”. He scoffed at all token attempts at diversity and social mobility, despite the fact – regardless of what those so-called economic experts think - that the old capitalist world was pretty much crumbling away. Berger said, “Acid for blood, Zarby? Is he even human?”

Zarby grimaced; this time his reply was curt:“No, sir, not like that – but you know, like LSD or something similar. Old synthetic N-Bomb blood, maybe. He’s not bothered by anything yet and screams at nothing. The rats even like him, they just lick him and fall asleep. He even tries to talk to them, this guy’s fucked in the head. In my honest opinion, sir, this fucking fried hippy looks like bad news; we’re getting nothing out of him!”

“Fine, Zarby, just junk him!”

Zarby nodded as the screen suddenly went dead. 

Berger smirked. He quietly thought that it would be one less mangy liberty-loving hippy clogging up the cruel callous world, which he wanted to keep that way for his own interests. He felt pleased with himself; he had also ejaculated in his fine silk pants just as he finished the rest of his expensive water in one gulp.
