down to the basement to meet my dad who was still working on his project. "Good Afteroon Dad I'm back." I said half way down the stairs. "It works!" He shouted. "What?" I asked runiing down the rest of the stairs.

I went and meet him to see him holding a miniture apple. "What happen Dad?" I asked. "My shrink way works." He said jumping around waving the apple. "You know what that means?" He asked standing still. "WE'RE RICH !!!" he said and grabbed m arms jumping all aroung the room. 

I joined him chanting the words over and over again until we were thired. I was sure the neighbors thought we had gone mad by now. But I didn't care,I hadn't seen my father this happy since my mother died when I was eight.

"I have to go and pack." He said runing upstairs to his room. He pulled out a suitcase throwing in clothes. "How lon would you be gone for?" I asked from the doorway. I hated when he left me to go to his office in Newyork. 

"For about a month." he said not looking up from his work. He looked up and sense my sadness. "Don't worry." He said engulfing me in one of his bear hugs." Tell you what you can visit me this weekend." He said pulling away to stare into my eyes. "Fine but don't do anything to dangerous." I said giving in.

I stood by the side walk watching as he drove away. I waved and gave him one of my encouraging smiles. I walked back into the house and take out my book.

I settle into the sofa and began to finish my book.I coudn't wait untill the week was over so I could go and be with my dad.

The week went slower than I thought it would but maybe it was because I spend almost all of my time reading about 7 books.

I looked forward to the weekend and now that it had arrived I was more happy than ever.I packed all that I needed and put it in the back of my car that I hardly used.

I started on my 3 hour drive from home to my dads apartment in newyork. I packed a bag of blueberry muffins that i had baked the day before. They were my favourites and I was taking some along for the ride. I started right before the sunset so that I could reach around 9o'clock.

I was quite lonely on the road passing only about 3 cars the most on the road. I left town and decided to take a shortcut to get through the other town faster.

On my way I passed my dads car. What was it doing here by the side of th desserted road. I panicked somthing must of happened to him.

I pulled aside from the road and went to examine it. His bags were still in it. Was that a bad thing? I took a flash light out of my car and decided I should go and look for him.

I saw his phone by the entrance of a path to the forsest so I went to look for him there. I hoped he hadn't gotten himself into any trouble.
