Read FICTION books online

Reading books fiction Have you ever thought about what fiction is? Probably, such a question may seem surprising: and so everything is clear. Every person throughout his life has to repeatedly create the works he needs for specific purposes - statements, autobiographies, dictations - using not gypsum or clay, not musical notes, not paints, but just a word. At the same time, almost every person will be very surprised if he is told that he thereby created a work of fiction, which is very different from visual art, music and sculpture making. However, everyone understands that a student's essay or dictation is fundamentally different from novels, short stories, news that are created by professional writers. In the works of professionals there is the most important difference - excogitation. But, oddly enough, in a school literature course, you don’t realize the full power of fiction. /> “Jasmine, I’m home!” My mother sang.
“Sh.” I told him as he laid on top of me.
“This isn’t your real world.” He reminded me. I don’t know how he could tell the difference. I couldn’t tell the difference. My Mother walked over to the couch. I smiled awkwardly at her.
“Hi, Mom.” I smiled.
“Hi.” She nodded.
“Hello, Ms. Hanson.” Shawn smiled.
“Hello.” She smiled at Shawn. “Jasmine, can I have a word?” Shawn got off me and I stood up. I followed her to the kitchen.
“Yes?” I asked.
“Jas, I love you.” She stated.
“And?” I asked.
“I know we haven’t had to pill talk yet and if you need it just let me know.” She smiled. Was she for real? My Mother would have been more lenient and my Father would have smacked me and said ‘If you get pregnant I’m kicking your ass out!’
“Woah, I’m okay.” I said. This was an awkward conversation with either of my Mom’s. “But thanks.” She hugged me. I hugged her back because, although I know its not my real Mom I imagined it to be. I haven’t hugged my real Mom in forever. “I love you.” I mumbled.
“Jas, I love you too.” She said. Her voice began to get deeper. I pulled away and looked into her eyes. It looked almost as if they were glowing red.
“Mom?” I asked. She shook her head and went back to normal.
“Yes, honey?” She asked in a high, soft spoken voice.
“Never mind.” I said and went back to the room with Shawn. My Mother stayed in the kitchen, making coffee. I was a little weirded out and a little scared. Its hard to explain.
“Whats wrong?” He asked.
“Her, her eyes.” I muttered. He immediately stood up and rushed to me. He put both hands on my shoulders.
“Who’s eyes?” He asked. He was serious. “Who’s eyes!” He demanded as he pushed me but kept his hands on me.
“Mom.” I murmured.
“Now listen to me very close.” He said and looked into my eyes. “What did her eyes look like?”
“They were glowing red and had a orange dot in the middle. Its never like anything I’ve ever seen before. And her voice. It got deep and ugly.” I added. He grabbed my hand.
“We have to leave.” He said and ran outside. He looked around. He got on a motorcycle. “Get on!”
“That?” I asked.
“Get on!” He demanded. He threw me a helmet and I got on. I looked at the houses around us and there were people coming out of them. They had glowing red eyes. What was happening?
He drove us to a lake. He got off the motorcycle and stood at the end of the pier. The wind was blowing something new. It was so much stronger than usual. My hair and clothes almost flew off of me it was so strong.
“What are you doing?” I screamed over the roaring of the wind. I looked over the wide blue lake.
“Wait!” He screamed back. What was I waiting for? He lifted his hands into the air as the sky turned black. A streak of lightening hit a near by tree.
As he lifts his hands into the air the lake lifted. My eyes grew wide as I saw the lake that I’ve swim in float in the air. Shawn ran onto the dry ground under it and opened a steel door that laid on the floor.
“Go!” He demanded. I ran down the steep stairs as he followed behind me. After he closed the door he lifted his hands and threw them down. Just as he did I heard splashing of the water on the door. I continued to climb down the dark stairs. It felt like the stairs never ended. It just get going deeper and the deeper the darker.
“Shawn?” I asked terrified.
“Just keep going.” He said. I had so many question I have to ask. The further I went down the cold it got. “Shawn,” I said again. “I’m scared.” I confessed. He went down and got on the same rung I was. I couldn’t see him but I could feel him.
“Don’t be scared. I’m here.” He said and touched my cheek. “Ready?”
“Mhm.” I mumbled. I was terrified. I didn’t know where I was going. I didn’t know who those people were and why they were following us with those eyes. I’ve never seen anything like this.
After what seemed like hours my foot finally touched solid ground. I felt my way around to a wall. I hung to it like it was my old baby blanket.
“Jasmine, where are you!” Shawn shouted.
“Over here.” I replied immediately. He walked over to me without any problem. “How can you see? Its darker than dark in here.”
“I have something sort of like night vision. You have it too. We all do.” He sighed.
“I don’t have it.” I said. “I can’t see you. I can’t see anything.”
“Close your eyes. Wish for it. Want it.” He said. I could hear he was close to me but I didn’t know how close.
I did what he said. I closed my eyes and wished. I believed I had it. I pictured me with it.
“Now, open your eyes.” He said. He paused for a second. “What do you see?”
When I opened my eyes I jumped. Around me were a least thirty other teens my age. I didn’t know where they came from. I looked up at the latter and it was only about five feet tall. Why did it take so long to get here? What’s going on? I looked down at the floor. It looked like water and it moved like water but when he touched it it was solid like a floor.
“What is this?” I asked cautiously.
“This is the Safe House. We Zygermoon’s have seen this coming for a long time.” He said but I interrupted him.
“Zygermoon?” I asked.
“Yes, its what we are.” Someone answered. Then Shawn went on.
“Like I said, we’ve seen this coming for quiet some time. The Oracle saw it. It said it would bring us a girl. Your descriptions match her exactly. You are her.” He explained.
“No, no, no.” I argued. “I’m just a small town girl. I’m nothing special.”
“You’re here aren’t you?” He asked. He walked over to me and touched my arm.
“I’m here but more likely on a technicality more than anything.” I softly spoke. “I’m not who you are looking for.”
“Jasmine, you are her. I know it.” He said and looked me into his eyes. His eyes speak to me. Its a little weird.
“How do you know?” I asked him. I was so scared I was shaking. How could all this weight be on my shoulders. I’m not the brave type. I’m not the strong, take charge type. I’m the shy, stay in a corner type. I don’t like loud noises and frankly, I get scared quiet easily.
“I know because I love you and Zygetmoon’s can’t love.” He whispered and softly kissed my lips. “We need you.”
“Okay.” I murmured. One girl threw me a sword. I looked at it in disbelief. My Mommy always told me not to play with sharp objects.
“Lets start your training.” Shawn said and got everyone in line.
Could he have been lying? Could It have just been a game to get me to do what he wants? Am I being played? The sad part is I think I love him too. I didn’t think I would ever say that... At first he seem obnoxious and I didn’t believe him but I love him. There I said it. I love him. I love him. I love him.
He threw me a sword. Everyone else picked up there’s.
“What am I suppose to do with this?” I asked him nervously.
“Fight.” He said simply.
“Fight.” I repeated. As he told us some moves and how to properly use our weapons I began to understand it. I don’t know how I could kill something let alone someone.
“Lets move out.” He said after a day of training.
“Wait. Shawn.” I said.
“I, I I can’t do this.” I stuttered.
