Read FICTION books online

Reading books fiction Have you ever thought about what fiction is? Probably, such a question may seem surprising: and so everything is clear. Every person throughout his life has to repeatedly create the works he needs for specific purposes - statements, autobiographies, dictations - using not gypsum or clay, not musical notes, not paints, but just a word. At the same time, almost every person will be very surprised if he is told that he thereby created a work of fiction, which is very different from visual art, music and sculpture making. However, everyone understands that a student's essay or dictation is fundamentally different from novels, short stories, news that are created by professional writers. In the works of professionals there is the most important difference - excogitation. But, oddly enough, in a school literature course, you don’t realize the full power of fiction. One was obviously a male police officer, and she guessed the other one was a female. A police officer too, prehaps?
Her eyes then slowly slid open. She was laying down on a small white bed, like the ones in the hospital. Anna felt no blood run down her face, neither any pain. Instead, she felt numb and sick.
"So you eventually woke up." The female voice came again. Anna opened her eyes fully and saw a young woman standing beside her, wearing a white overcoat and white clothes. Black glasses sat on her nose, and her long brown hair was tied up in a bun. She also had a necklace hanging round her neck, but Anna couldn't make out the shape. "What happened? Where am I?" She groaned weakly.
"You fell over while you were running away from the police." The female told her. "You gave us quite a scare when you went unconcious, sweetie. We thought you'd died on the spot, but we could just see you breathing slowly. Thank God the Lord spared you. Oh, and I'm Dr. Summers by the way.""
"Yeah. Hi." Anna mumbled. She then realised that something was missing. "What have you done with my dog?"
"That wild black thing? She's safe with one of our expert dog handlers. However, if she has badly injured that man, then she will be put to sleep." Dr Summers told her. Anna's heart jumped out of her mouth in shock. "You can't put my dog down! This whole thing was an accident, I swear!"
"Hold on a moment." The kind doctor left the room, and Anna could hear her talking to a police officer outside.
"You can't put down that kid's dog. It's not fair on her, and she will refuse to answer questions in the state that she's in."
"We can

, and no one will stop us. But we said if that man didn't have minor injuries." The police officer told her harshly. "But he seems to have a bad wound on his arm. Face it Joanne, there's no chance that the dog will be saved. She's wild, dangerous and out of control."
"She tried to save the kid's life, for God's sake. Give the dog a second chance." Joanne said angrily. "If you attempt to put that hero to sleep, I will tell your little police chums that you ain't Canadian. Understood?"
"Fine, fine, you win." The police officer said gruffly, walking off. "I'll see what I can do, but I ain't making any promises. Especially not to the chief's wife." Joanne mumbled a couple of rude words and returned into Anna's room. "Your family are coming. If you want, I will get the dog." She told her gently.
"God bless you!" Anna breathed, coughing a bit. Joanne gave her a puzzled look. "I have never heard that. What is your nationailty?" She asked.
"Oh, I...um...I am..." Anna decided that she couldn't lie to this woman who had treated her so kindly. "English. I am English."
