"So, I've been hearing I'm the talk of the school and my name somehow comes out your mouth Maria. Care to explain?"
"Hell no. The only word that begins with a "p" that comes out of my mouth is "punk" and "p.u." You're no all that to talk about what besides what you think but I will agree those words describe you best." Mar retorted.
"Ha! Oh so clever Maria think she got the best of me. This is a warning for all three of you and including that puddgy pudge friend of yours. Ladies these poor girls feel left out because they have no cell phones. Let's do a great cause and actually share the only word that they know in their language by text!"
The girls obidiently took out their phones and started texting to one another. Their phone seemed to have some kind of voice activation sound because siz phones one by one said in different voices "LOSER" out loud. They all shared a laugh among each other and started to walk to their usual "table of favorites and popularity".
"Were ya'll serious?" Mar said to their backs out loud. "Yeah, please do us a favor and go sit at your table of whorism with the biggest queen of them all. Their phone had finish talking for them and ya'll texted each other the word...ya'll are saying you're losers yourselves. Cheerleading genisuses"
The cheer group stopped and Prisilla turned around with smolder in her eyes-if that was possible. "What
did you just say?...Did you call me a whore?!"
"If the pom-pom fits..." Mar replied with a smirk. But before Prisilla could drop her salad to the floor and leap on Mar, Thud stood in Prisilla's way. This act made her laugh and her followers as well. "Oh, yes the new found love. I've heard. Congrats to you too creeps. Werido with weirdo deserves each other".
Thud made sure that the squad went further to the other side of the cafeteria where their table were before he turned around and smiled and Mar. "She won't bother you, love". He said dreamly and then walked back to his lunch and seat. "Let's get out of here." Mar said. And without waiting for their response, she got up from her seat and briskly walked out of the caferteria. Bianca and Sarah followed, snickering.
Every announcement that South Ridge Middle School has from the P.A. system were usually boring and tidious. But when the dinging of the bell came from out it indicating that an announcement is coming it would be the start of something bound to happen. "Teachers and students," the voice from the office junior assistant, Brittnay Hayes rung out annoying and studious, "I am to inform you that their will be a brief seminar in the auditorum after the lunch hour is over with. The selected teachers who will be bringing their classes, please be ready to go. Thank you South Ridge for your attention."
The clicking of P.A. made the school know that that was the end of the annucnement. Mar, who was at her locker putting away the entries and recovering from the heroic act of Thud, groaned. "A seminar? This school could go to the extreme sometimes."
"Just look at it as a get out of class card. That's the best thing out of those seminars." Said Sarah.
"And to see what Riley would do." Bianca said smiling.
"Oh yeah, Riley." Mar gave a little smile too because Riley Ford was the school's class clown. The only cure for a boring seminar. "Well, RIley or not, I hope my class is not one of the selected. I would be just fine watching it on t.v. I'm glad they didn't make the auditorum in full capacity".
Just then the bell had rung to head back to class and to discover what the topic of the seminar would be-on...
It had turn out, of course, that Mar, Sarah, Jan Marie, and Bianca's class were one of the selected few to attend the seminar. Bianca looked over at Mar slouching in her seat and shaking her head at the luck of them being in there. She couldn't help but chuckle. She found Sarah waving at her and shrugging at the same fact and Jan Marie looking a little lost while her peers around her trying to stand out of her way. Principal Heymond took his time to come up on the stage. I guess it was suppose to be his grand entrance and it didn't matter to him that the students were getting impatient for this and school to be over with.
"Good afternoon, South Ridge. I have behind me the new Student Code Of Conduct booklet that will be issued out to you all and for the rest of you that is watching in the classrooms. As you know, there has been some situations with the other school districts involving dress codes and respect for one another..." Heymond went on and on before he fianlly handed the mic back to Brittnay, who was also the M.c. Mar could imagine what Brittnay would be known as in the school's year book: The school's butt kisser and multi roll playing do-girl.
"And now for your enjoyment, Riley Ford has prepared a skit regarding the topic and ending today's seminar." Brittnay had informed before leaving the stage with what seemed like a sneaky smile on her face. Riley Ford would've been a red headed loser to the school if it wasn't for his ability to take things as a joke, and for being the only red head. He walked on the stage wearing a suit and tie as if he was the third member of The Men In Black without the shades.
"My fellow students, you all know me as Riley P. Ford. But due to this "concerned" topic that the school board want us to know of, I won't be the Riley that you know. Please know that the character are somewhat fictional and to be taken "seriously" as serious as this seminar. Thank you, enjoy."
This introduction made everyone laugh except Principal Heymond who gave Riley a warning look. "Oh yes, a film. This os going to be epic..." Mar said under her breath as she grinned and sat up in her seat for the show. The screen came down humming until it stopped at its point. The class watched silently as the numbers counted down and Riley was revealed wearing a sloppy two ponied tail wig and big bifocual glasses.
"I hope you're seeing me," Riley said in a high pitch and scratchy voice "Because I just love attention! Hello. I'm Attentionita Grabit. I just love to find out what is new with my school peers and to spread the word like wild fire! Because my news is hott AND wild. Why just the other day I found out this juicy news that I sure hope my Principal won't find out:
March 22, 2011
u know how the girls restroom is magic? "oh, 'pichacco nut' you sound crazy" is what you are probably thinking but think about it. it's a death trap for all those stinky fragrences them cheerleaders spray to beautify their ugliness, it's a smoker's lounge for the care free gothics and early drop outs, and it's a place to ditch up on any type of info on whom and too bad the cheer squad gets dumped on where they make their selves pretty at! i was in to actually use the facility when patricia was trying to dry her eyes with the hand dryer (you know how she is. says it will get rid of the redness more) i didnt ask but she tells me anyway how she gets straight a's in math but just because kirk is the junior varsity captain of the football team he gets away with murder and that includes stealing teacher's grade scales and messing up the whole system. and because she is one of the unfavorites in this school he messes her streak by having the teacher give her an f on her test. this is what i was talking about before something has to be done with people like kirk and prisilla and their stupid cliques. shut all of them down!
Then another voice in the film had called out Riley's character name in a warning tone. "Uh oh. That's 'ol Ms. Jones. Always trying to catch me skipping class like the time Prisilla's bestfriend Joanna skipped some classes to be with Kirk. Here's a few details:
March 24, 2011
I didn't go to church today. And it's shocking that I faked a stomach ache to play sunday hooke. But later on, I was "better" to go and see a movie and lunch at the diner afterwards. You know who i saw??? Joanna and Kirk-yes them two-making out like two sketchy love birds sharing a shake in the diner! Boy, Prisilla knows how to pick them!
"Oh, boy! That is some real close friendship in that circle."
That was as far as the film had gotten. Because I soon as all that was revealed. Prisilla screamed, Joanna rushed out of the auditorum and Kirk stood up and demanded to know who was the one with Riley that told that "lie". Heymond was so appaulled at the news about the grade scale he shut down the seminar and told everyone to get back to the classrooms. It was by far the best seminar for South Ridge. The students couldn't stop laughing and talking about it. Mar, Sarah, Bianca, and even Jan Marie who smiled at the revenge, looked at each other with astonishment.
"Wow...Riley sure know how to let it all out." Jan Marie said after school was over with. The four friends were standing out of the gate watching the pleased looks from today's event on the majority faces of their peers. They also enjoyed watching the mothers of Prisilla and Joanna coming to get them and Prisilla's mom had to hold her daughter back from attacking Joanna. Kirk was still held in Heymond's office.
"Today was unbelieveable. But amusing for my taste." Mar had admitted.
"I had that chance to talk to Riley after Heymond had let him go from his interagration on him. He said that what he had done was a suggestion to turn it as a skit and act on it. He didn't know who who gave him the entries but he didn't regret doing what he did. He felt Kirk and Prisilla needed to be taught a lesson." Said Bianca.
"Then who's the one that is giving the run around for our notebook? The school day is over with and we still didn't find out" Sarah said.
"And there's seven entries still missing" Jan Marie added.
"How are you feeling now Jan Marie?" asked Bianca.
"A bit better. It felt good for once to not have people talk about you and get things handed to you" Jan Marie said with a small smile.
"Well, I'm glad you stuck up after yourself." said
