continuing on my way out of the classroom. One of these days I was going to end up sending both him and his brother back to their royal castle – in coffins.

“Have you eaten anything at all today?” Mandy asked as she took a bite from her peanut and butter sandwich.

I shrugged and continued to poke the weirdly shaped hotdog that lay on my lunch tray. Jennifer took a sip of her water before saying, “Maybe she’s just so depressed that she doesn’t have an appetite.” She said sitting her water bottle down on the table, “That’s normal, right?”

“Yeah.” Many agreed. She glanced back at me questioningly, “Is that why you haven’t eaten anything yet?”

“No.”

Jennifer raised a black eyebrow at me, “Then what’s the problem?”

I stopped playing with my food and took my fork and pointed to a girl sitting a couple of tables down from us. “The she devil has been staring at me the entire lunch period and it’s making me feel too uncomfortable to eat.” Both Mandy and Jennifer turned around to spot Lillian looking straight ahead. Her black hair was still pulled up into that ridiculously tight bun and her glasses covered her brown beady eyes.

When they turned back around they gave me a look of understanding.

“Don’t worry about her.” Jennifer said, waving a hand.

Mandy took another bite of her sandwich. “Yeah, she’s just going to miss you when you leave because she won’t have anyone else to bother on end.” She finished. Jennifer nodded in agreement.

I picked up my milk carton and took a sip. “I guess you’re right. Not seeing Lillian Falters anymore is the only good thing about being sent away to behavioral camp because it’s one place that she’ll never be able to get in.”

Mandy and Jennifer chuckled and shook their head. “Right.” They both agreed.

When lunch was over I said my goodbyes and headed back to class to grab my things before fourth block started. After I got to fourth block the day seemed to rush by and before I knew it I was on my way heading back home.

“Did you get the other suitcases?” My mom asked. My dad nodded and pulled out four big black suitcases and sat them down beside me. I looked down at the bags, trying to comprehend what was happening. They were really sending me away. Like really. And they expected me to be gone for the rest of the school year.

I snapped out of my trace and glanced over to my parents. “Mom, Dad, I – I really can change.”

They ignored me. They were too busy placing all of my bathroom items in a smaller suitcase and making sure all of my clothes were packed - winter and summer.

Ariana stood by the door texting one of her friends. She didn’t care that I was going; she was just waiting until I was gone for good, that way she could have my room.

Little sisters. I muttered.

I grabbed my jacket and headed outside. I shut the door behind me and sat down on the front porch. I stared up at the sky for what seemed like hours and hours, admiring the stars. I couldn’t believe they were actually growing through with this. After years and years of threats it was finally happening. Tomorrow I would be sent to behavioral camp. Tomorrow I would make new friends and enemies. Tomorrow..

I would start a new life.
