Entry in the Drabbles Contest (3 stories of 100 words each). I was so intrigued by the concept of not using the letter "e" I totally missed the last line "Ok, yes we are (joking)." So the joke's on me, but what the hay? Here's my original blurb:
Not using a particular thing, midway from “d” to “f", was difficult but highly amusing. Who had a brainstorm such as this? I’m thinking of stringing up that individual by a particular body part, or conducting a public display with much flinging of tar and down. A triad of tiny books follows (Magic Johnson’s, TBP and Frisky Doins). I trust this is to your liking.

Ever since I was a kid, in the last century as my grandchildren like to remind me, I have always had a dog. It is hard to imagine life without a chewing, barking, pooping, loving four legged companion. It also seemed a strange question to me, does Norman have a soul? The question was asked, seriously, by a dear non- tribal friend. Actually, I had never thought much of, do dogs have souls, except to think, of course. Does Norman have a Soul? That is a real question. Do dogs have souls? I assumed, of course.
"I assume"…. how often have I heard the definition of I assume, "to make an ass out you and me."

Skip's mom decides one gorgeous Spring afternoon that he is going to go to Saturday evening Benediction services with herself and his father. No ifs, ands, or buts. Naturally he is devastated, so Mrs. Morley takes pity on him and invites Jimmy along. Jimmy's mom agrees...but Jimmy is pissed! He dreams up another little innocent caper...
Vampires are the descendants of Satan from his favorite sin called Lust. They never become extinct and will never be.
And that is Empress’ goal. A Blueblooded (Royal Vampire) who wants to end their race.
"A not so glitchy vampire story that seeks to eradicate this blood sucking dimwits." - Empress V.
