strange cat eyes. He turned red and looked away hurriedly. Weird. Back to my doodles.

"Y-you're really good at drawing," David whispered, his lips brushing my ear. I turned to him with a smile.

"Thanks, but I highly doubt it."

"No, you are. It's so realistic. I like the way-"

"David and Jezabel, do you two have something you'd like to share with the class?" Mr. Carter asked, irritated. David shook his head, looking down and turning red. I shook my head but couldn't help giggling when he turned his back.

"Have lunch with me and I'll show you more of my drawings. Deal?"

"D-deal."

Literally My One And Only Friend


 
I sat down and waited eagerly for David at lunch. He was the only person who thought I was good at drawing! I personally thought my drawings were awful. Just as I was about to take them out, a tray slammed down in front of me. I looked up, startled to see Derek casually sitting down. David, on the other hand, sat quietly next to me.

"What are you doing here?" I grumbled.

"Eating. How about those drawings you promised?" Derek grinned. I glared and was about to tell him off, when David slammed his fist down on the lunch table.

"Sh-she invited me, not you," David burst out. "Go away Derek!"  

I stared at David in shock, but Derek just shrugged and left with his tray.
