This is the first book in the Four Corners Mystery Series. This series is about a young detective called Addison Avery Carter. She, with the help of Detective Conner Doyle and Dari Stutter, pursues the crimes that plauge the Arizona Area.

In a small town of a maximum of 300 people, when a murder is committed you would think it would be easily solved. But this case is harder than ever for the case workers of 2011 London looking back to 1965 Essex and trying to solve this confusing and twisting tale of betrayal and deceit.

Murder has been committed in the small town of Sleepy Pines, Texas. It pits neighbor against neighbor, friend against friend, and family against loved ones. It has been 20 long years since the murders took place. The killer seemed to arbitrarily and systematically attack, targeting the couples parked on the beautiful stretch of road overlooking the town, known as “Lover’s Lane.” The killings have gone unsolved, and any leads cold.

However, several murders have recently occurred, and the townsfolk are once again thrown into fear that the resurrected killer has returned for more vengeance. Only law enforcement is aware of the similarities of the killings. Speculation is rampant among the people—all pointing fingers and making accusations against those they think would have motive to perpetrate these heinous crimes. They whisper about how certain folks had personal vendettas to settle.

An unknown man is on a mission to protect those who can't protect themselves when all others are unaware of present danger. One of his missions is chronicled here.

As i sit on the floor, waiting to see if he will come back. All i can do is hope and pray he forgot about me. I just wish i told someone sooner about him. I thought i could trust him but now that im here, tied up, i now know that he was never a nice man. Thats not what i need to think about, i NEED TO GET OUT OF HERE!!!I see the door open and i shut my eyes.....
