in my bed again tonight.”

Arousal pulses between my legs at the memory of how sensational he felt.

“I will be.”

“Enjoy your shower.” With his palm cupping my ass, he squeezes my cheek. “If Cyrus wasn’t here, I’d join you.”

“Next time.” Glancing over my shoulder, I catch Griffin watching my ass as I walk away.

“It’s hard to see you go, but you’re beautiful walking away.” His hand goes through his messy hair as he grins at my smile.

Griffin

Cyrus and I sit at the island in the kitchen as the utensils cook the food for us. My essence swirls around the utensils, my magic keeping them in motion. I sip my mug of tea as Cyrus scowls at me.

“Stop grinning. It’s irritating as hell.”

“I’m sorry, brother, but that’s what she does to me.”

“You got her in your bed fast.”

“Our connection is undeniable.” Those words flatten Cyrus’s lips.

“Have you told her about the rest of us?”

“Not entirely. She didn’t know she’s a druid witch. She grew up human. It was difficult for her to accept what I’ve already told her.”

“Have you learned what brings her magic out?”

“Joy.”

“Thankfully, it’s not anger or fear.” Cyrus pulls his cup of coffee closer and takes a drink. “I hated the idea of having to invoke either in her.”

“I’m relieved. All we have to do is make her joyously happy, and the magic will come.”

“What were you doing when it came out?”

“We were in the Fae forest, drinking and dancing.”

“We should take her back there.” Cyrus’s attention moves to the utensils cooking breakfast. “I see your magic is getting stronger.”

“I noticed that this morning.”

Cyrus lowers his glasses, rubbing the bridge of his nose like he does when he’s irritated. “Probably because of the sex. You’re bonding.”

“I can tell it bothers you. We agreed on this, remember?”

“I know, but it’s more difficult than I thought it would be. I feel a pull to her. I want her to know me.”

“I know the feeling, but we need to be careful. She’s sensitive and cautious. We can’t overwhelm her.”

“Fine, but I want time alone with her while we’re here.”

My jaw tenses, and his eyes go right to my ears. With as much of my hair in a hairband as I can achieve, my ears are now a display of my emotions.

“You’re feeling possessive of her already?”

“I am.”

“She doesn’t belong to just you. She’s all of ours.”

“That’s why being the first will be the hardest. You have to be patient. I have to watch her fall in love with four more men after me.”

Selene

The aroma of eggs, meat, and vegetables wafts through the house as I near the kitchen and the voices of Griffin and Cyrus. Their conversation is clipped as they both go silent when I enter the room. My eyes go right to the glowing utensils placing omelets on plates.

“That’s so cool.”

A plate is carried by glowing blue swirls to the spot next to Griffin. He pats the stool, and I climb atop it, leaning over to give him a kiss.

“This looks great, thank you.”

Cyrus stares at me from across the bar with interest.

“Would you like tea or coffee?”

“Tea, please.”

Standing, he goes to the stove and pours a mug of water by hand.

“Griffin tells me you’re air magic, and that’s why you can portal.”

“It’s true.” He sets the mug in front of me along with a wooden box of herbal teas. “My magic also includes spells.”

“Ah, so the powder was yours?”

Cyrus’s cheeks flush. “Yes.”

“You two have worked together to bring me here. I’m guessing you will both be teaching me things?”

“We will. Griffin can teach you to harness your magic and will it to do what you want, as well as what herbs and plants you can use. I can teach you spells to cast and how to charm talismans, even to portal travel… in time.”

“Wait, I can do the same magic as both of you?”

Cyrus’s chin lowers, and he glares at Griffin over his glasses.

“I see Griffin hasn’t had the chance to explain this. As a druid witch, you can do all elemental magic. You’re the most powerful supernatural there is.”

“What?” My jaw falls open, and I glance between the two of them. “I’m more powerful than both of you?”

“You are. Druid witches are rare. Your kind has been hunted most fiercely because of your connection with all the elements.”

“When was the last known druid witch?”

“In the United States, over a hundred years ago. In other countries, as recently as twelve years ago.”

“Do you know how many there are?”

“I’m sorry, I don’t.” The side of Cyrus’s mouth lifts into a sympathetic smile. “They stay hidden, just like all other supernaturals.”

“The one in the United States, do you know if I’m related to him or her?”

“You are. It was your great-grandmother.”

“How did I not know?”

“Your family stopped practicing and chose to integrate into human society.”

Having forgotten my food, I pick up my fork and mull over the information Cyrus shared.

“How do you know more about me than I do?”

“Once Griffin told me who you were, I began researching your family history. I’m a cultural anthropology and mythology professor. Research comes naturally to me.”

I smile at Cyrus. “It does for me too.”

Cyrus’s gaze lingers on me, a smile curving his lips. He’s a handsome man, and there’s something sexy about his stylish professor look. As I continue to study him, his cheeks take on a pink hue, and he can’t stop smiling, which is making it hard for me to stop smiling, too.

Griffin clears his throat, and I yank my gaze from Cyrus’s and fill my mouth with another fork full of food. Griffin rubs my leg, and I nearly purr at the feel of his essence tingling my skin.

“After breakfast, we’d like to take you into the Fae forest and see if we can get your magic to come out. Are you okay with that?”

“I am. It sounds fun.”

Cyrus and Griffin pass a glance between each other, both of them appearing energized.

“Oh, it will be.”
