thumbing over his shoulder, “I’m goingto find my own watering hole because I want you to giveme permission to violate you too.”

“Oh,” I sing. “You can touch me!” I gladlyslip out of my pal’k and toss it into the pool of water.

His laughing comes to an immediate stop.

I’ve angered him. I can see that by the lookon his face. But then his eyes fall over my breasts and then downmy sternum to my pelvis. I see that he wants to touch me, explorewho I am as I desire to explore who he is.

“It’s okay,” I say breathlessly, trying toconstrain this strong urge to experience his hands on my body.

He takes a pause, deliberating I presume. Hemoves closer to me and slides his fingers between my thighs. Iinhale sharply, and so does he as I look to see his hand massage myflesh. It goes higher and higher until he touches my genitals. He’skneading the human point of my body called a clitoris and a strangesensation is gradually overtaking me. It’s like the hum of theak’arunu, an instrument that resembles a flute.

“Is this what you’re inviting me to do toyou?” His voice is husky and seductive.

I can’t speak because the song he’s playingis growing louder. A moan escapes me.

“What are you doing?” I’m finally able towhisper.

“I’m making you come.”

“But I’m already here?” I find myselfwhimpering.

He flashes a smoldering grin. “What are youfeeling, Ad’ru?”

What am I feeling? I feel weak in the kneesand I need to hold onto something or I’ll sink into the earth. WhatI feel? “Pleasure,” I finally whisper.

“Do you want me to stop?”

I can feel his cold breath sweep across thevery tip of my receptive nipple. But his face - I can’t see itbecause the lids of my eyes have fluttered closed. They’re stillheavy but I lift them as high as I can.

That’s when I see that his top lip is curledand stretched over his two pronounced canine teeth.

“Yes, stop,” I gasp, no longer underseduction’s spell.

I watch as his fangs slowly retract. Hisfingers, his instruments of pleasure, abandon me but he still holdsme close to him.

“Are you afraid of me, Ad’ru,” hewhispers.

I want to say no, but instead I tell him thetruth. “I’m afraid of what you are able to do to me.”

He tilts his head curiously as he searchesmy face for meaning. Funny, he doesn’t realize that I’m afraid ofthe mere essence of what he is—a Selell who upon the Earth thirstsfor blood. It is in that universe where consuming every drop of myblood can give him unimaginable power. And when I’m drained of mylifeblood, I will die.

“You should get cleaned up,” he finally saysas he lets go of me. There’s a change in his tone of voice. Hispassion has subsided and I already miss his touch and nearness.

“Are you leaving?” I ask as a sudden feelingof impending loneliness creeps up on me.

“Hell no,” he says emphatically. “I’m dirtytoo.”

“So you’ll bathe with me?”

He lifts one side of his mouth again, showing me a flash of teeth. “Get in.” He nudges his chin towardthe bubbling water.

I’m relieved that he will stay. Standing onthe edge of the pool, I leap off my feet and curl backwards, divinginto the water. The pool is not very deep. I swim approximately tenfeet below the surface before my hands touch the bedrock floor. I’msurprised by how warm and soft the water is as I head back up tothe top. When my head emerges past the surface, the first thing Isee is Chex standing at the ledge of the pond and he’s completelynaked. I can’t take my eyes off his male organ. It’s long and erectand he’s watching me observe it.

What an interesting sight. Tryst doesn’thave one. However, the Selell Lario Exgesis did have one and Icould feel it against me whenever he held me close to him. But I’venever seen it like that in the open. I do want to touch it butChex’s two canine teeth once again touch his lower lip.

“Don’t worry, Darling; no means no,” he saysand in an instant he’s in the pool beside me.

As we study each other, I’m reminded of thegiddy feeling I get whenever I’m aware that he’s this close.

“So what’s all this bonding shit about?” heasks, leaning in slightly closer to me.

When I become aware that I too am incliningtoward him, I stop myself, swallow the lump in my throat and say inan unnaturally high voice, “We, the daughters of the House of Benelare bonded to Selells.”

He’s slowly swiping his arms back and forth, treading water. “Selells, vampires… Why vampires? Why not a lessbrutal creature?”

“Out of all the creatures on the Earthcontained in flesh, you are the least brutal.”

“Ha!” he scoffs. “And why is that?” There’svulnerability in his curiosity.

“Because your days have been longer and thathas made you wiser,” I reply, paraphrasing a key point my fatheronce taught me.

After one burst of movement, he forgets hisvow. His arms are wrapped around me and his hands are at the bottomof my back, holding me close to his firm exterior.

“Do you know what it is to live forcenturies, thirsting for blood and not having it because no humanin their right mind is going to give it to you? I don’t know whereyou got your intelligence from, but you might want to regard myspecies as the most brutal blokes you’ll encounter in every shittyuniverse in existence. You want to know why?”

My lips part as I think of an answer for himbut he says, “Because we’re fucking desperate, Ad’ru. We’re fuckingthirsty. All the fucking time.”

Multiple thoughts are competing with eachother in my head and the one that’s tethered to the desires brewingdeep inside of me win.

“Are you thirsty now?” I can only barelymutter, unable to look away from his pulsating fangs.

He slowly shakes his head. “Notrecently.”

“So you’re not thirsty for my blood?”

He touches one of his sharp teeth. “You’retalking about these?”

I nod stiffly and since I’m finding itdifficult to breathe, I stop doing it all together.

“These are bonded to this.” Hethrusts his hand under the water and pushes his firm organ againstmy pelvic bone.
