constantly on that beautiful redhead.

This thing between us had to end. There were no ifs, ands, or buts about it. This had to be the end of us.

But one more time wouldn’t hurt.

“Where are you going, Mr. Ashford?” Jenna asked me sweetly, looking at me from behind the large computer screen that she had. I noticed that she had done more makeup than usual and her hair was fixed, which was unusual for her. Was she trying to get me to notice her? And, even if she was, didn’t she realize that getting involved with me meant that I would be forced to demote her?

“I have some personal matters to attend to. I should be back within the next hour.” I hesitated. Was that enough time? When it was Cat and I, it really may not be. “Actually, make that two hours. If I get any calls or messages during this time, simply forward them, and I’ll return everything when I get back.”

“And your meeting in an hour?” she asked me, typing everything that I was telling her.

“Push it back another hour.”

“Oh, sir,” she started. “It’s been pushed back about four times already. They’re starting to get a little bit impatient.”

“I’m Jordan Ashford,” I reiterated. “They’ll wait.”

When had I gotten so behind on work? I hadn’t even known that I had a meeting today, lest that it had been pushed back so many times. Where had my mind been that I wasn’t able to keep up with my existing companies? And now I was adding in a new one. How was I supposed to manage all of them and whatever this relationship thing with Cat was.

I had always had this arrogant air about me and it was because of my name and the man who had mentored me. It allowed for me to be cocky, to an extent. But, that also didn’t mean that I should be ruining relationships with clients that I’d had for a long time. It was okay knowing that I was a force to be reckoned with, but I couldn’t be rude.

I had a name. I needed to protect it.

“Take them out to lunch when they get here, and let them get whatever they want, off the menu. Pay for it with the business card.”

Whenever I had an issue, I used the company business card to get out of it. It wasn’t that I thought money could solve all issues, but it could definitely help. Even if they had to wait, at least they were getting some good, expensive food out of it. And that was what mattered the most.

“I’ll do so,” she told me, beaming.

With that, I took my leave, glancing at my clock and realizing that it’d been almost fifteen minutes since Cat had sent me the original message. She hadn’t left, had she? She did say that she was giving me twenty minutes, but knowing Cat, she would be quick to change her mind if I kept her waiting long enough.

Then I thought about her threat. If I walked in, and she was touching herself, I’d be thrilled. It was a sight that I was more than happy to see, especially considering that I’d had yet to see it. I could only imagine how she’d look, bent over the desk, her hands exploring her lower regions, her stunning red hair cascading over her shoulders. It was a sight that I was actually pretty eager to see.

Which may have been why I took my sweet time before opening the janitorial door.

“Took you long enough,” Cat said and rolled her eyes once I walked in. She had stripped into just her underwear and bra although, unfortunately, she wasn’t touching herself, which was what I’d been hoping to see. “I was waiting in here a long time.”

“I’m a busy man.”

“Never too busy for me.”

Unfortunately, she was right. “Never.”

She crashed our lips together, and the battle of the tongues began. She rolled her hips against me, feverishly, as if she hadn’t been with me in a very long time. And, I couldn’t help but to give her everything that she was asking for.

I unbuckled my pants and let them fall before stepping out of them. Before I could remove her underwear, Cat was getting onto her knees and plunged my cock into her warm, sweet mouth. I let out a groan of absolute pleasure and rested my head against the back of the wall. My hands resisted the urge to get tangled into her hair.

“This is exactly the reason my father thought we were seeing each other,” she commented before trying to wrap her lips back around me. But, my eyebrows furrowed, and I grabbed her head before turning it to look at me.

“What did you just say?”

“My dad thought we were together,” she stated, nonchalantly. “So, he called me to dinner.”

My heart dropped. “And what did you say?”

“That we weren’t, obviously.” She frowned. “What’s up with you?”

“We should stop.”

“Stop what?” Then she grinned. “Talking? I agree.”

She tried to go back down, but I didn’t let her. “No, stop this.” I gestured between us. “Whatever it is.”

“What?!” she exclaimed. “Why?”

“Because we almost got caught,” I explained. “And if your dad finds out, that’s it. The end of the business deal, and I know you want that as little as I do.”

“You can’t end this.”

“Why?” I asked, confused.

“Because I won’t let you.”

Her lips wrapped back around my cock, and I couldn’t resist her. I pulled her up and plunged myself into her and began to move, ferociously.

This was it. This would be the last time.

Cat

Had he been serious when he tried to break things off yesterday? My foot was tapping against the ground, and I was biting on the end of my pencil, a nervous habit that I’d thought I’d broken a long time ago although I’d, obviously, been very wrong. It came back as soon as the nerves did.

I was being forced to acknowledge the feelings that I was beginning to harbor for Jordan. This
