alone.”

Mindy was curious. “How long have you known Ike?”

“Since he was just a lad. His father hired me to look after him, so his mother would be free to go with him to balls and dinners and do charity work. He loves the trappings of his wealth. Whereas, Ike’s mother was happy to stay home with Ike and just be a mother. They’d married before he got rich in the stock market. He wanted it all and she didn’t give a whit. He finally just started taking secretaries and his sister to them.” She stopped talking, deep in thought. “That is all I should say. It is Ike’s story to tell, if he wants you to know more.”

Mindy got up every evening after dinner and helped Etta with the cleanup, even though the housekeeper insisted she didn’t have to. Etta cleaned the table and washed the dishes while Mindy dried and put the dishes away.

Every night Etta would leave, giving Mindy a hug. “I hope you decide to stay. You will be good for him.”

Mindy would call Sally and snuggle with Peanut and Pooky before watching a little TV and going to bed.

Finally, it was the night before Ike was due to come home. This night she saw on the news that the man that stood on her corner was arrested for drug dealing. She also saw the other man that came to her car. He was part of the drug cartel in their state and was also arrested. It was big news. She wondered if Ike and Shaun had anything to do with it. She asked Sally, but she didn’t know either. Mindy decided that she would ask Ike the next day.

She was so excited that finally Ike would be home. She had taken the next two weeks off in order to take care of him. She snickered to herself while she hugged Pooky. Ike didn’t need anyone to take care of him, he was doing very well. It was an excuse, but she didn’t care. She had made up her mind.

While she was crazy scared of the spanking, she knew she needed it to cleanse her of the guilt that still ate at her. She knew she wanted to be part of this life, if he would still have her. She was afraid he had changed his mind. He never brought it up when she was with him at work. She went to bed early, knowing it would take a doctor’s visit to release him and tons of paperwork that he would growl about, until they hurried fast enough for him. She figured he would be home before noon. She curled around Pooky, while Peanut slept near her feet and was sound asleep in no time dreaming of Ike’s strong arms around her.

Ike walked into the penthouse the next morning at close to ten o’clock, grumbling to Etta at how slow they were at the hospital.

Etta gave him a peck on the cheek and after a quick wink at Mindy, slipped out the door to go to her home.

Ike turned to Mindy with a smile. “Well, little one,” he walked to her and gathered her up in his arms before he settled on the sofa, “what have you decided? Do you want to try this?”

Mindy looked down at her nervous fingers before she smiled. “Yes, sir, but I don’t want a spankin’,” she pouted. Her lower lip sticking out adorably.

“That’s not how this works, little one, and you know it. I will never promise you anything and not deliver.” He bent down to nip at that adorable lower lip.

She looked down briefly, only to look up into his eyes as she explained, “I knew you were going to say that. I do want to be part of this. I want to find out where we go, but I am afraid.”

“Do you trust me, little one? Enough to let me take care of you and give you exactly what you need?”

“Will it hurt, Daddy?”

Ike’s cock jerked at the word. His heart began to pound at the joy of hearing her call him daddy. He pulled her close. “Yes, little one, it will. But it will also make you feel better and all will be forgiven when we are finished.”

“I do feel bad that I hurt you, Daddy. In here.” She tapped his chest. “I am so sorry I didn’t trust you.”

Ike stood with her in his arms as he took her to the locked door next to his room. He pulled out the key and opened it.

Inside, Mindy turned in circles. Her mouth opened with her hand covering it. “Oh, my, this is so beautiful, Daddy.”

Inside was a pink bed. The quilt and pillowcases all done in matching Disney-themed designs. The pink dresser sat to the side. Mindy walked slowly to it and opened one drawer after another, squealing in delight when she saw what was in each. The top drawer on the left had little girl panties in with ladybugs and flowers and cartoon characters on them. Some were just pretty pink or purple with lace. The second drawer had cute little tops. When she opened the top drawer on the right, she backed up with a gasp. Inside were paddles and straps and other things she didn’t want to see. She quickly closed it, looking back at Ike as he leaned against the door smiling. The bottom drawer had pants in it with butterflies or ladybugs on the pockets or sparkly designs on them. She loved those.

She quickly walked to the bookcase. All her favorite fairy tales and Disney books were there and she gave a happy sigh as she ran her finger along them, stroking her favorites.

“I thought we would read a story tomorrow since it is supposed to snow,” Ike explained to her as he walked with her to the toy box. Inside were games to play like Chutes and Ladders. Along the wall were shelves with coloring books, crayons and other craft supplies.

He led
