the transformation, I can’t use Chaos Power either.

“There’s no Life Power here so I don’t know if I can absorb and use it yet, but even if I can’t, I plan to travel around the universe for a bit.

“Maybe in a few hundred years when I’ve seen and done everything, I might look you up to do the same favour for me, as you’ve done for O’Malley.”

John nodded. “Is there a way to get out of here for you? If not, I can teleport you to a random planet or even to the Nobody Sect where you can see the changes for yourself and see the people you knew.”

Jamie pointed towards the castle. “There’s a teleportation rune inside the castle. I know where it leads, and I can get out from there. Come, I’ll show you.”

John stood up from his seat and followed Jamie to the inside of the castle.

He went through a thin barrier that was like a soap bubble that wouldn’t burst. Looking behind him, John saw the bubble vibrating as its shape went back to normal after he passed through it.

John was interested in a tour, so Jamie took him around the castle.

There were hundreds of small rooms only a hundred squared foot in size. All that was inside each room was a bed and a small wardrobe.

John could see all the beds were messy and there were dirty clothes all over all the floors. He could picture the Transcendents waking up then changing into their best clothes to die in style.

After the tour, Jamie took John to a large room containing another barrier protecting it.

Inside the room, John could see a large glowing teleport rune on the floor

Jamie walked to the middle of the teleport rune, turned around, and smiled at John. “I couldn’t say this before, but… you’ve grown up.

“When I first met you, you were a new immortal who knew nothing of the universe. While I guided you a little in the beginning, you’ve paved your way through the universe and reached the top all on your own.

“Even though I can’t take pride in saying I’m a good master, I’m proud that our paths crossed and I could help you when you needed it.

“The only regret I have is being useless to you. I was a hostage being used against you, and even though O’Malley didn’t use me in the end, I wish I was strong enough to protect you instead. I hope you can forgive me.”

Before John could even say anything, Jamie activated the teleport rune underneath him and disappeared.

He doesn’t remember being manipulated at the end? It’s best not to tell him, then.

He might not have been the best master, but he tried his best until O’Malley used him. It’s the thought that counts, so I don’t blame or hate him.

Chapter 40: Where It Began

While walking towards the castle’s exit, John saw the soap bubble barrier again. This time, the information he had gained from the Transcendents surfaced in his mind.

This soap bubble barrier is a simple mix of water and space elements.

It has the same effect as the space sealing runes I’ve created, but by using the elements like this, I could alter the shape, size, and strength of the seal at will.

I never would’ve thought about this combination.

When he passed through the castle’s exit and arrived in the courtyard again, John saw some of the furniture floating and about to drift off into space.

Don’t tell me it was one of the Transcendents who was keeping the gravity here?

Creating threads, he grabbed the floating furniture and threw them inside the castle.

As he finished collecting everything, he found out that his skill had finished updating, and new absorbing and breathing techniques were in his memory. So, he flew into outer space and did a test to see the difference.

After killing all the Transcendents and gaining their memories about these techniques, John’s test revealed that he was getting twenty Chaos Power per minute for every mind part that was using the absorbing technique.

That’s two billion Life Power per minute for each mind part!

If he had this kind of technique back when he was an immortal and if he used five mind parts to use the absorbing technique, he could fill both the brain and body with Toxin Power from zero in a little over twenty-four days!

Coming out of his shock about the amount the absorbing technique had increased by, John went into the universal map, found the planet where the Nobody Sect was, and moved the icon there to teleport.

He then flew towards Newbie Town in the North Kingdom.

When he arrived, he kept flying west for a little while to reach the Loose Forest, the area where he arrived in this universe.

After he arrived at the cliff, he used the time element to go back into the past. He knew he had to travel back almost sixty years to when he first arrived in this universe.

John grabbed the hair he took off his past life’s body and used the cloning technique after he knew he was at the right time.

The body he created was a replica of his past life, so he used the time element on the body and brought it back to fifteen years old.

He then guided his soul that was wrapped in his threads into the body he created before placing the body’s head hanging over the cliff.

I know what’s going to happen and I don’t think I can help the past me just yet. I remember the first party of adventurers that I met were called Alan, Peter, and Cyril, but I never found out what mission they were on to come here.

Since my body and soul are in the middle of fusing together, it’s around this time that those three people will accept their mission.

His curiosity won against his better judgement and he flew towards Newbie Town once more, but he used the light element to make himself invisible before arriving.

When he
