never seen anything so beautiful. With the woodgrain and the detailing, the craftsmanship was impeccable. None of the store-bought cribs Lily had been pushing on her could even compare. She ran her hand along the edge of the polished wood.

“You made this,” she realized suddenly. Cade confirmed with a nod. “Cade, it’s a work of art!” Leah hoped her expression conveyed how she felt. Words were failing her.

“It was a labor of love.”

“I love it. And I love you.” She put a hand to his cheek then reached up to kiss him. He hugged and kissed her back.

When he broke the kiss, Cade stepped back and made a sweeping motion at the crib.

“Are you going to let Henley try out her new digs?”

“No!” she clutched her daughter closely. “And accidently wake up without her? No way!” She laughed and Cade joined in.

“If that was the case, we’d just come back for her,” he promised. Cade gazed at his tiny daughter and spoke sweetly, “What do you think of your new home, Henley?”

“Home,” Leah smiled. She really liked the sound of that. Even though this was a dream, it was also real.

Her dreams had finally brought her home.
