Axel: We can change it up a bit. We don’t want to ruin you.
Me: See you at Christina’s.
The game is a blast for the team and me. Jeremy has his stuff today, and his fastball remains nearly impossible to hit. We have a great time watching and just being together outside the office. When the game ends, the Prospectors have beaten the Detroit Tigers five to one.
“Man, Jeremy Hamilton’s fastball is a beast,” Sean says as we stand and head toward the aisle in a river of people.
“I still can’t believe he isn’t even eighteen yet,” Christina says.
We move with the crowd, working our way out of the stadium.
“Everyone has the address and walking directions, right?” Christina asks when we’re back to the ground floor.
Sean looks at her. “You’re going the same place, aren’t you?”
“Yes, of course,” she huffs. “But I didn’t want to assume everyone wanted to rush over. Some of you may have to go to the bathroom or something.”
As we exit the stadium Peter remains at my elbow. I know he’s nervous about Viviana having some “friends” in the crowd, but security is tight around the stadium, so surely that would dissuade them. Christina walks quickly with some of the others and leaves me behind with Sean and Carrie.
Sean and I talk a little bit about the game and some of his ideas for the concept we discussed with big strokes.
By the time we arrive at Christina’s, most of the team is already there. “Hey, what took you guys so long?” I hear someone ask.
“We were talking about work.” Sean turns to me. “You’re meeting with Nate tomorrow?”
“I’ll see him at a social function. I’ll run it by him and maybe set a time to meet with him later.”
I’ve just gotten myself a drink when Axel walks in with the surprise we’ve planned: Jeremy, Crispin, and Jake. “We have some guests who’ve joined us,” I singsong to the crowd.
After a round of applause, everyone seems shy and lets the guys eat in peace. But with some encouragement from me and Axel, eventually they make their way over for autographs and baseball talk.
Christina sidles up next to me. “Axel is fantastic. I mean, total surfer vibe coming off of him, and he seems totally laid back, but he’s really on it.”
I smile. She’s not wrong. “Yeah, he’s a good guy.”
She bumps my shoulder with hers. “You know, I think you’ll be the first Flirt marriage.”
Chapter 30
Axel
“Thanks for bringing the guys by the party.” Mia’s head rests on my shoulder as Peter drives us back to her place.
“I was happy to do it. They’d been asking to see you, so it worked out.” I lean forward. “Peter, are you sticking around long?”
“What do you need?” he asks, looking in the rearview mirror.
“I need to take my dog out for a walk, and I thought Mia might want to join us,” Axel says. “But if you’re heading home, I’ll just do it and Mia can stay at her place.”
Peter nods. “Jennifer is waiting at the house. She can walk with you.”
I nod and turn to Mia. “That is, if you want to walk with us.”
“Sure. And I’ll need a shower before bed. I’m hot and sticky.”
I suppress a growl. “We can make it fast.”
She smiles. “There’s no hurry. We don’t have to be in Stinson tomorrow until after one. Sara and Trey are having a giant barbeque.”
I give her hand a squeeze. “As long as I’m with you, we’ll have fun.”
When we arrive at Mia’s place, we say goodbye to Peter, grab Jennifer and SoBe, and head out to walk along the marina’s boardwalk. We hold hands as we stroll, and we pass several other dogs out to do their nightly business. I notice lots of eyes on Mia as we make our way, and they’re looks of lust. Part of me wants to jump in their faces and yell, “Eyes off, buddy.” But Mia doesn’t seem to notice, so I just hold her hand a little tighter.
“I think SoBe prefers your place to mine,” I tell her.
“Why do you think that?” Mia turns to me and smiles before standing on her tiptoes to kiss my lips softly.
“First, you don’t have the crazy, nonstop noise that comes with four little boys who run almost eighteen hours a day. Second, he likes to keep an eye out on who’s walking by your window.”
She nods with a laugh, and I bring our laced fingers to my mouth and kiss her hand. “Thank you for hanging out with me.”
She sighs and blushes, which gets me every time.
When we return, I feed SoBe and try to spend some time with him, but he’s not interested in me. He loves the front window.
Since it seems my work with him is done, I realize I may need a shower myself. I wander to the candlelit bathroom and find Mia sitting in a bubble bath. Her hair is in a messy bun, and she’s shaving her legs. The bubbles dripping from her calf make my staff grow long and hard.
“Hey,” I say. “Need any help?”
She smiles. “I might have a spot on my back that could use a good wash.”
I pull my shirt off and I toe out of my shoes. She’s watching me carefully.
When she licks her lips, my cock leaks precum.
Her bath is a jetted tub that easily fits two people. I finish undressing and slide in behind her, kissing her neck.
She leans back against me. I find her soap, and it smells just like her—cucumber with a hit of lavender. I reach for her loofah, squeeze the liquid soap onto it, and begin with small circles on her back. “Is this the right spot?”
“Mmmmm,”
