One of the ancients, once said that poetry is "the mirror of the perfect soul." Instead of simply writing down travel notes or, not really thinking about the consequences, expressing your thoughts, memories or on paper, the poetic soul needs to seriously work hard to clothe the perfect content in an even more perfect poetic form.
On our website we can observe huge selection of electronic books for free. The registration in this electronic library isn’t required. Your e-library is always online with you. Reading ebooks on our website will help to be aware of bestsellers , without even leaving home.

What is poetry?

Reading books RomanceThe unity of form and content is what distinguishes poetry from other areas of creativity. However, this is precisely what titanic work implies.
Not every citizen can become a poet. If almost every one of us, at different times, under the influence of certain reasons or trends, was engaged in writing his thoughts, then it is unlikely that the vast majority will be able to admit to themselves that they are a poet.
Genre of poetry touches such strings in the human soul, the existence of which a person either didn’t suspect, or lowered them to the very bottom, intending to give them delight.

There are poets whose work, without exaggeration, belongs to the treasures of human thought and rightly is a world heritage. In our electronic library you will find a wide variety of poetry.
Opening a new collection of poems, the reader thus discovers a new world, a new thought, a new form. Rereading the classics, a person receives a magnificent aesthetic pleasure, which doesn’t disappear with the slamming of the book, but accompanies him for a very long time like a Muse. And it isn’t at all necessary to be a poet in order for the Muse to visit you. It is enough to pick up a volume, inside of which is Poetry. Be with us on our website.

pampering you with both love and attention,
And so you started the 21st Century,
With the beautiful Ciara and me.

You echoed all our laughter and our cheers,
As we danced on merrily through the years,
For Ciara and I were as happy as could be,
And we didn’t even have to climb the stairs to pee!

Thank you for keeping us toasty,
By keeping out old Mr. Frosty,
You protected us from the wind and rain,
But allowed sunlight through your window panes.

We leave you full of great times,
The yummy food and fine wines,
And the many conversations that flowed,
From our friends both new and old.

All these memories that we have cast,
By mind and heart and camera still last,
You’ve cheered our lives more than words can say,
And we very much hope that you feel the same way.

But time moves on and so must we,
So we must say goodbye to thee,
You wear your heart on your chimneys,
And in our hearts you will always be.

Rent-A-Nut

It makes no sense,
To offer as rent,
A recipe for apple pie,
Or to ask the reason why,
I will not accept,
An old scouting tent.

Oh why do I find myself derided,
Because my tenant has decided,
That unless I take payment in peas,
He will banish my Karmic aura overseas,
Well I’ve had about as much as I can take,
It’s time to take care of this fake.

Artists Fence

I’m humming,
And I’m hawing,
Waiting for the dawning,
Of my drawing,
If I notice someone coming,
I just scribble something,
Until they go away,
So I can say,
Where did I put my eraser?

Carbon Criminal

It is my firm belief,
That there is a thief,
At this great gathering,
Who is undermining,
Our moral eco creed,
With their foul deeds.

For on our march at Heathrow,
Someone stole Fran’s fig rolls,
And then caused quite a scandal,
When they took Tim’s fig leaf sandals,
While he slept outside terminal one,
Preparing for the dawn raid to come.

And if that was not bad enough,
They also pinched my bag of stuff,
So now I can’t get high,
Nor can I bloody well fly,
For that’d be killing our planet,
And my conscience won’t have it.

But fear not my contentious crew,
For our crook has left us a clue,
For in their attempt to snatch Dug’s didgeridoo,
And sabotage our nightly outback concerto in ‘oo’,
They carelessly left behind this,
Behold the criminals’ carbon footprints!

Jekyll & Clive

There’s a monster inside,
So we must all run and hide,
For when the moon is out,
The beast will scream and shout,
And tear everything asunder,
Until dawn pushes it back under,
Where it will wriggle and writhe,
While its other half struggles to decide,

Whether to have poached eggs and tea,
Or a nice bowl of muesli,
Or who he should meet for lunch,
Dave Hogan or Alison Munch,
Thereby surviving the day,
Being pleasant and gay,
Until night falls once more,
To a blood curdling roar.

Little Darling

My nose is runny,
I’ve a sore tummy,
It’s not funny,
I want my mummy.

Your mothers not here,
So be a dear,
And sit over here,
While I finish my beer.

I’ll scream so I will,
And I’ll keep doing it till,
The neighbours come round,
Wondering who’s making that sound.

Come here you little brat,
And sit where I’m at,
And cut out that crap,
Or I’ll give you a slap.

If you do I shall wail,
And send you to jail,
Where you’ll get a big shiner,
For hitting a minor.

Petuliar

Physician heal my pet,
Madam I am not a vet,
His temperature’s very high,
Then go to the vet he’s nearby,
But that man is quite useless,
And you I daresay are clueless.

Suddenly the ferret wriggled free,
And landed on an old lady’s knee,
She screamed and she roared,
So the poor ferret soared,
Towards a kid wearing braces,
And began chewing his shoelaces.

The doctor was first to react,
He dived on the oversized rat,
And dangling it by its tail,
He carried it as it wailed,
Back to the annoying lady,
Before bidding her good day.
