But would they still look at me the same if they knew what lied inside my boken heart

Abuse that i kept hidden within myself since i was a child

How i lived life with no rules, with no parents no one to make proud

Where family was the enemy and i was put on the front line

To catch all that they threw at me, but when company came over had to smile like i

was fine
No one to talk to none of these niggas had time

So I began to talk within my writing they couldn't touch it, it was mine.

So to forget at an early age i would drink, then look at myself in the mirror and still

see that little girl inside of me.

While my friends would drink for fun,

I drank to forget what they had done,

Using my past as a crunch until the day i had my son.

When i didn't feel that love that i should of to protect him I knew it was like recycle,

so i looked at him and made a promise to stop the viscious cycle.

So when people look at me with their eyes filled with admiration,

I pray one day they'll know what i had to go through to get to this location.

Then finally understand all the hard work that it took,

which is why I say don't admire my cover without reading my book.
