What is poetry?

Reading books RomanceThe unity of form and content is what distinguishes poetry from other areas of creativity. However, this is precisely what titanic work implies.
Not every citizen can become a poet. If almost every one of us, at different times, under the influence of certain reasons or trends, was engaged in writing his thoughts, then it is unlikely that the vast majority will be able to admit to themselves that they are a poet.
Genre of poetry touches such strings in the human soul, the existence of which a person either didn’t suspect, or lowered them to the very bottom, intending to give them delight.

There are poets whose work, without exaggeration, belongs to the treasures of human thought and rightly is a world heritage. In our electronic library you will find a wide variety of poetry.
Opening a new collection of poems, the reader thus discovers a new world, a new thought, a new form. Rereading the classics, a person receives a magnificent aesthetic pleasure, which doesn’t disappear with the slamming of the book, but accompanies him for a very long time like a Muse. And it isn’t at all necessary to be a poet in order for the Muse to visit you. It is enough to pick up a volume, inside of which is Poetry. Be with us on our website.

had vanished like the Moon eclipsed
by Rahu, into that tenebrous 2 dale.

70. Inside her foul entrails the valorous ape
had gone berserk and tore the giant with claws;
emerged unscathed out of her carcass, as
the saints and sages watched his feat agape!

71. Under the showering blessings of the celestials
went on and on, increasing his acceleration
now high, touching the infinitum with zeal
then low, peeking into the ocean; Hanuman.

72. A length of hundred yojanas he crossed
The Son of Winds when sighted timberline.
Descending while he found that island green
with fruiting trees, herbs, shrubs and outspread grass.

73. He saw Lanka and South to it, Mount Malaya;
an isle of gardens it’s with flourishing verbiage
with gushing ocean waves and lakes at vicinage;
tall trees and swirling long rivers’re inspiring awe.

74. He looked at himself once and mused
“The Rakshasas may get confused
on seeing me and pay some heed
to my gigantic build and speed.”

75. So thought, he shrunk in size, that protean ape
and gazed with keen regard, at the landscape.

DEDICATION Some power made me write this epic, grand; Unknown, unseen, beyond the human ken with harsh commanding wand, but loving hand. A sweet toil it’s; to wield, perforce, my pen. Eyes closed and wide open I looked around to find that force; that covert Providence. I tried to feel that sacred form; hear sound and smell His fragrance; oh my nescience! Then tried some nice guesswork. Was that my Ram, my Mother Sita Pious or Hanuman? Did Saint Valmiki fancy English fame or Narada, the epical showman?! To Him or Her or that real Omniscience I dedicate this work with love, immense. sathyanarayana
