After I did I said, “Hey whatsup?” I waited a minute. Then a new text came.
“Are you still coming tonight?” He asked.
“Yes” I responded.
Then he said “Sweet, I got a present for you when I come. I'm going to go. talk to you tonight!” Carter said. That's when I actually squealed. Liz yelped.
“Sorry” I said.
“Why are you squealing?” Liz asked.
“Because Carter just texted me and said he is bringing me a present tonight!” I screamed. Now me and Liz were jumping up and down giggling.
Later it was almost time to go. I was double checking my makeup and hair. Then the doorbell rang. I almost slipped running to the door. I opened the door. Carter was standing there. He had on a white tee with camo pants. He had a small box in his hand.
“Hi,” Carter said.
“H-hhi” I whispered. Then my mom walked in the room.
“You must be Carter.” She shook his hand.
“I think we have to get going, the movie starts in half an hour.” Carter said. “Great Iidea,” I said. I wanted to get out of there before my mom started to say anything embarrassing. Carter’s dad was driving us. When I got up to the car, Carter opened the front door for me. Once we started driving, Carter handed me the tiny box from the back seat. Carter’s dad looked at me every few minutes. When I opened the box, I saw a small chain that said my name on it. “Oh, Carter, how sweet of you!” I said. For a minute, I thought I saw his dad smile….. Soon I was wearing the necklace.
When we got out, Carter paid for the tickets. He even got me some gummy bears from the snake stand. Carter and I had a great time. When the movie was at the part of the two people kissing, Carter looked at me. I looked at him. Time seemed to stop. Then I felt my eyes close and lips form a kissing position. Then I felt the most wonderful feeling in the world. It felt like all my troubles were gone, and nothing mattered but this, right now.
When I got home I ran to my room, kicked off my boots, and flopped on my bed. Liz immediately started to ask me a bizzlion question. “Well,” I said. “ It was definitely a Christmas to remember.”
