Just then Max came in.
"Oh, hello there, I'm Max, Alexia's docter."
"Oh, I know, She was talking about you the whole time I was here."
I turn and stare at her. Why the heck did she say that? suddenly I feel my face start to burn up. Oh no... I can't be blushing.. That would just make things worse. I have to think quick. So I just turn my head away before anyone could notice.
"Oh, now was she?" he says sarcasticly, "Tell me more."
"She didn't mean what she said." I say kinda loud, just to make sure that he heard me.
"Gosh girl, we were just playing with you." Lindsay says sounding pretty annoyed.
"Just leave my alone." I say.
"Fine girl, i'll see ya soon k?"
"Sure thing."
And with that, Lindsay is out the door.
"Is that your friend?" asks Max.
"Who else wouild it be?" I shoot back.
"Well i'm sorry if I made your good mood go down the drain, but I still have to check on you everyday."
"Sure watever."
"Is something bothering you?"
"Yes, It's the fact that I like you." I say the words before I can stop them from coming out.
"Oh... well.... umm i have to confess something to you too.... I think that you really are beautiful, and I like u too."
Before I can stop myself my lips reach his. I put I hands around his neck, and he pulls me closer. His lips are soft and warm. He pulls me onto his lap, even with my leg. Suddenly, he's pulling away.
"We can't do this." He says.
"Why not? do u have a girlfriend? cuz you told me you didn't. or what, am I not good enough for you?"
"No, It's none of that... It's just that.. I can't do this with you, I mean I'm your docter."
"Your right." I say.
"I'm really sorry, I really do want to take our relationship to the next level, but not yet. ok?"
"Ok."
And with that I lay back down on my hospital bed, and stare at something far away on the horizon.
