“Cam, sweetie it's time to go or you'll miss your flight.”  Meg came in and hugged me kissing the top of my head.  You would have never guessed I was more than indifferent about this from the stoic face I held, were it not for wet traitors seeping from my eyes.  Meg wiped them away and I left the room.  

I found three little hips and kissed their heads leaving notes and a dollar on each of their pillows.  Gosh I wonder what they would do with their money this time the resourceful little rats.  An invisible smile crossed my face as I stood.  I turned to the women standing there and walked to her.

“Where are we going?”  

“My house dear, at least until your marriage or if Huxly decides he wants you before then.  That's my son, the boy you met.  He's a sweet boy deep down just needs a bit of a push with girls.  Now come along dear.”  We left not only the house but my hopes and dreams the moment we stepped foot out of that house.

The house was big and pretty but what did I expect.  They were obviously rich there was no doubt about that.  But god it was crazy.  I would never think that a sole person could possess this much money.  I was pretty ugly from the journey it had taken a plane ride, two hours in the car, and then to top it off a boat ride to a secluded island.  It wasn't a shock to walk past a personal helicopter on the way in.

My old grey sweats and mathletes hoodie were starting to feel gross so I decided to find a shower as fast as possible.  

“I don't mean to be a bother miss but is there any chance I could shower?”

“Oh of course dear you look like hell.  Jemma!”  Huxly’s mother who I still had yet to learn the name of called out.  In only moments a girl a bit older then myself came running to her aid.  She had short black hair and skin as pale as the moon with honey colored eyes.

“Yes mrs. Brunk, how may I assist you today?”  She smiled politely and played with the frill on her light white apron over her navy blue knee length dress.

“For one what did I tell you about the silly little nervous tick huh?”  She dropped her hands to her sides.

“Sorry miss.”

“Very good now please to this lovely young lady to the room across from Huxly’s.”

“Of course, follow me miss.”  She grabbed my heavier carry-on and walked up a marble spiral staircase off to the right of the grand entrance.  I  followed her climbing the steps.  

Dear lord no wonder these people were so fit this is a crap ton of stairs!  You think with all the money they had they could put in an elevator.

“Are you okay miss you seem a bit out of breathe?”  Jemma giggled obviously amused by my shabby physique.  

“I'm fine just glad one of us can laugh at this situation.”  I continued climbing after her unwavering speed up on of my greatest enemies. “You can call my Cammy by the way,  the whole miss thing makes me feel like a princess.”

“Isn't that what all little girls wish to be miss.”  She emphasized the miss obviously holding back giggles.  Maybe if i'm lucky this girl is as cool as her sarcasm lets on.

“The thing with me is one i'm a big girl now and two i'm most certainly no princess.”

“You mine as well be after you marry mr. Huxly,  in case you hadn't noticed they’re kinda loaded here.  And this will all be his someday.  You miss make many gold diggers and sluts very envious.”

“Unfortunately I am none of those things so this isn't too fun.”

“Come, we are at the end of the line here.  You may exit into your room when ready.  I must go see you around, Cammy.
