“Mom, I meant I was finished getting ready.” I said in between breathes. Still laughing. I heard a light chuckle behind my mother, I raised my eyebrows eying at my mother. “Oh! Of course! Ana, honey, do you remember a boy named Spencer?” She asked me. Ha- only if she knew. “Uh, sure?” I asked. Trying to sound clueless. It worked. As I answered my mother moved out of my way, to show a very tall, very lean Spencer with a frown on his beautiful face. I mean I thought that I had amazing emerald green eyes. Mine didn't stand a chance against Spencer. He moved off the counter getting closer to me offering a hand, while saying “Hey, I'm Spencer. I live next door. We used to hang.” As he got to the last sentence he gave me a small sad smile. I just nodded, turned to my mother. “This is my surprise?” I asked. Emphasizing the 'this'. She just nodded and told us to get going. Spencer didn't argue just left towards the unfamiliar car in the front of my house. It was a white Ranger Rover. I walked to my coffee table in the living room to get my graffiti backpack. Turning to the front door which was still open I seen Spencer standing at the door for the passenger. I walked out the door, looking towards the window in the living room, seeing a little piece of the curtain was open. Spencer was playing with his hands when I got to his car. He looked up to me, giving me a shy smile. I gave him one in return as he opened my door, I got in. Eying him edgy. I mean I just met him today since two years. He could have turned into a phys for all I know. “So, you really don't remember me?” He asked me once he got in the car and started heading for school. “I do. I just wish I didn't.” I said rudely. He totally forgot about me when he got all his new friends. “Ouch, you got my heart on that one Ana Banana.” He said with a smile tugging on the side of his mouth. I could help it, once we got to the school I pulled him to me. “I missed you Spencer Denser.” He hugged me back and kissed my forehead once we got out of the hug. Giving me a sad smile again, turning off the car and getting out of it.
Once I got out of the car I didn't wait for him I just walked to the front of the school into the office not turning back to see If he noticed that I left. I mean it's not like this is the first time I left. I left two years ago with nothing but memories with me. But he doesn't know that. Right when I was about to open the door to the school I heard my name being called. Which is strange since only Spencer knew it was me. I turned around to see Asher. Her corny self in her short blonde hair that got shorter as it got more towards the back with her blue eyes, the saddest part is, that she's shorter then me. But I can understand I mean shes only in like 9th grade or 10th. I cant remember, sadly. “Hey Ash, do you go here?” I asked her, she nodded with a huge smile on her face. We walked to the office, not seeing Spencer the whole time. Once we got to the office there was a couple people in there, not new I think because they were talking to each other like they knew them. Once the other people cleared out I got to the front of the desk where a man maybe fresh out of college was sitting. “May I help you?” He asked, sweetly with a smile on his face. “Uh, yeah. My names Anastasia Peterson, and that's Asher Starr. We're new students and we were wondering if we could get our schedule?” I asked, sweetly back to him, smiling even I think. I mean not in a flirting way, that would be weird. He just nodded his head typing something into the computer. After a while of waiting while he typed he finally said, with a smile “I'll be back in a moment I just had to print off the papers.” Asher and I just nodded. Its not like we know where to go. I would if I had our schedule, but Asher wouldn't. After about a minute or two the guy at the desk came back holding out two sheets of papers for us. I handed Asher's hers and I got my own. Duh. I had Ms. Casey for World History, Mr. Berglund for Algebra, Mrs. Corey for English and finally Ms. Foy for science. I wasn't sure what Asher had and I don't think she cared either, she was to busy flirting with the desk man. I had English first so I started to head there, getting stopped by a very hard chest.
“Oh, sorry. I didn't mean to-” Before I could even finish my sentence I got interrupted by the jock himself. Blake Mendez. “Oh it's okay. Where are you going?” He's the same Blake I remembered, straight forward and pushy. “Corey. How about you?” I asked, trying to seem nice. Lucky me, he told me he had the same class as me, and he'd show me to it! Yay! Please, again note the sarcasm.
As we got closer to the classroom while the awkward silence still lingered, Blake finally spoke up. “I'm Blake Mendez, you?” He asked looking down towards me. “Anastasia. Anastasia Peterson.” I said looking up to him. No I mean I thought Spencer was tall. He was like an ant compared to Blake. “That's a beautiful name.” he said once we got to the room. As the 'gentlemen' he was, he opened the door and let me in first. I walked to the 40 year old women sitting at a desk, “Um ma'am? I'm Anastasia Peterson.” I said. She didn't even look up to greet me. “Just sit somewhere.” She sneered at me. Okay bitch play it that way. I thought once I took a seat in the back of the class. In the corner so hopefully no one seen me.
Chapter Three
Spencer's P.O.V
I sat in my car, just watching her go. She doesn't know how much she destroyed me when she left. I don't even understand why she left. But I do like her glasses, but she put a golden blonde color to her hair, well it was mostly blonde except at her roots. It was cute. She was cute. I missed her so much. But I just couldn't shake the feeling that she got the new makeover, because of me. I mean, yes I know I was pretty harsh on her telling her we can't talk in public, but we still could have talked outside of school, at her house, people are always stopping over mine.
After, sitting in my car, Ana finally went inside with another new girl, how funny was that. I walked over to my group of friends, and of course they were talking about Ana. "Damn, Spence, have you seen the new girl? Well, the taller one?" Avery was practically drooling when he said that, he just can't keep it in his pants for more then a day. . . How sad.
