Max lunged, Luke sprang. They clashed, clawing, tearing, ripping, and biting at each other. They wrestled, but Max pinned the drunken werewolf to the floor. Growling in his face. “She’s mine. You will never touch her again, unless you’re looking to lose a limb.” Max flashed his fangs in an evil grin. He stood and picked up the Were, tossed him up and landed a blow on his face that the Were stayed in the heap he landed in. Alice was on her side, her head against the floor, watching the scene. Pulling her up, he removed the gag, a dirty washcloth and untied her wrists. She wrapped her arms around him, his arms went around her waist. They floated up towards the hole Max had entered. Luke had recovered and jumped for Alice. His claws ran down her leg, Alice and Max clung to each other. Max flew faster, this time not bothering to cloche Alice and himself. They tumbled into the backyard of Max’s home. Her pant leg was shredded and coated in blood. Max ripped the material away, cutting off mid-thigh. Three long oozing claw marks ran down her calf.
Max’s heart raced. He couldn’t take her to the hospitable, to many questions, not Kieran he’d just let her die. Max knew one thing, but she’d probably hate him for what he is for the rest of her time. Max shook his head as he lowered his face to her leg. He salivated over it. Running his tongue up the bloody marks, his saliva closed the wounds. Her blood tasted sweet to Max. When the gashes were nothing but long red marks, Max sat back keeping his gaze in his lap. Alice touched his cheek, “Thank you.” Max glanced up. She was smiling and leaning close to him.
“It’s my fault this happened. I’m so sorry.” Alice moved his face up and looked deep into his blue eyes. “You saved me. It is never your fault.” “But I’m a-” She put her hand over his mouth, with a playful smile on her face. “I don’t care.” Max smiled and nibbled on the palm of her hand, she giggled. Max reached out, smoothing her wild hair away from her forehead, the tickled her side. Alice laughed and pushed him over onto the grass. Max pulled her close, “So you’re a real…” Leaving the statement open, letting Max fill it in. “Yeah,” He sighed. “And what you did to my leg…” She trailed off again as her eyes flickered down and back to his. “Magic,” he whispered with an awed voice and widening his eyes. She laughed again. I love how I can make her laugh. Max’s eyes went to her lips, but darted back up when he knew she’d never do that, not with him.
Max opened his mouth to say something else to make her laugh, when his lips were busy being kissed. Alice pressed her mouth to his, her eyes were closed. Max stared at her face when she pulled away. He cupped the back of her head and kissed her. His mind stopped all there was, was Alice, the heat of her kiss, and the feeling of floating. She ran her hands threw his hair, wrapping her arms around his shoulders. Their breath came faster and faster, the kisses longer and longer, deeper and deeper. Max felt his heart swell when they parted and heard and felt Alice sigh sedately into his neck. Kissing her forehead, they laid in the grass together. Watching the midnight blue sky and counting the stars as they slowly showed themselves. Max knew he didn’t need anything but that moment right there. With Alice, wrapped in a loving embrace, and nothing but the whispers of the night disturbing their peace together.
