Megumi-chan should know by now why I didn’t go to school, Ikuto-san and Riko-san probably told her and she would probably go crazy right now but I couldn’t care for now. Now I just want to fix these problems I have. I showered and went down, Ikuto-san and Riko-san was there, they looked up to see me in the staircase and their faces were shows full evident that they are still worried about me. Sigh, let’s do this thing.
“Good Morning or afternoon, I don’t know, what time is it already?” I said cheerfully.
“It’s nine-thirty, are you feeling better Ana-chan? Do you want to have your breakfast?” asked Riko-san.
“Really? Yes please.” I said, ignoring her other question. Climbing down the staircase and was heading towards the table. She put a bowl in front of me who was filled with my favourite cereal and Ikuto-san put the milk beside it and both of them sat beside me at the table.
“So ..” I said no awkward silences when I’m around.
“Ana-chan, we haven’t told them Yamanaka Household of your recent discovery even though we should. It’s your choice if you want them to know, and now we’re asking do you want them to know?” ask Ikuto-san seriously. Ugh. I tried my best to keep this topic out of our conversations today but since it just happened yesterday it’s bound to be in conversations.
“Yes, I want them to know and I want to see them. I want to know the whole story precisely. The fact that they just gave me away to you guys just because of that accident is .. unacceptable, I should say. They’re rich, they could increase the security and yet they just gave me away.” I said, choking at my cereal.
“No, Ana-chan you shouldn’t think that way! They love you and they always do. Please don’t think that way.” Said Riko-san, almost in tears.
“That is your decision. When do you want to see them?” asked Ikuto-san.
“Today. I want to see them today.” I said.
After I finish eating my cereal, I changed my clothes and was ready to go. Ikuto-san was driving us to the Yamanaka’s Mansion, I feel kinda excited. It took us two hours to reach the mansion, and damn how big and huge it is. It was even bigger than the school, the gates were painted gold and silver that shines, the Mansion was extravagant you could say. Once they saw Ikuto-san and Riko-san they opened the gates and let us in. Ikuto-san parked somewhere while we waited for him at the lobby. When he came back, we followed him. Then suddenly a guy greets Father.
“Ikuto-san! It has been a long time since you visited, what brings you here?” the guy ask jovially, the guy
looked like he was in his mid-50’s , he does not look frail but actually fit. The guy looked around us and once he saw me his smile faded.
The he asked, “What is she doing here?” and looked sternly at Ikuto-san.
“She knows, she found out yesterday. She’s here because she wanted to see you guys.” He said solemnly.
“Ikuto! We trusted you that she wouldn’t know! How did she found out?” he started shouting, clearly the room was so big that his voiced echoed.
“It’s not father’s fault, I found out about it in school. Father has nothing to do about me knowing.” I said looking at whom, I think is my grandfather straight in the eyes. His eyes! His eyes are exactly the same as mine; it’s as if I’m looking at my own eyes. He must have noticed since he and I went wide-eyed.
“You really are my granddaughter! I missed you so much! It’s been 14 years since I saw you and you were still a baby! Layla and your father would be delighted to see you!” he said cheerfully, “Come on in, Come on in.”
“Jana, call Layla and John!” he shouted to one of the maids, who stopped doing their work, bowed to my grandfather, stole a quick glance at me and quickly ran.
“You probably don’t my name, my name is Alexisch Yamanaka. And you are definitely our Ana!” he boomed, chuckling.
“Yes. You are my grandfather right? ” I said cheerfully, I was surprise how comfortable I was with my grandfather.
“That’s me, alright. You could call me grandfather if you want heh heh.” He said still chuckling.
“Heh heh. Grandfather, heh heh.” I said, chuckling too. Gosh, I didn’t know I had this side of me, probably got it from him. Oh wells. When we reached the room there were already a lot of people inside.
“Ikuto and Riko-san, how nice to see both you.” A guy with a velvet voice said, that caught my attention badly. I have always thought that my father, Ikuto-san, was the most handsome middle aged man I ever seen with his sweet voice and all but this guy just proved me wrong. I looked up to see who it was and BAM goes in my mind. He’s freaking handsome, his features are perfect he has jet-black hair and outstanding brown eyes. His figure, speechless. Then I notice a woman beside him, whom he who has always been holding her waist all this time, was gorgeous, pretty, beautiful anything you could say that is beautiful. She has a long wavy blonde hair with bright blue eyes, her figure looks like mine but more outstanding. She looks exactly like me, except yeah, she’s more good-looking. She looks so graceful that it was one of the differences we had.
“It’s nice to see you too, Layla-sama and Katsuro-sama.” Ikuto-san said, and he and Riko-san bowed to them. I looked around and they were all surprised, I didn’t bow.
“Ana. What is she doing here Ikuto?” her voice was shocked yet still beautiful.
“Ana knows already Layla.” said grandfather.
“But how did she know? Why does she know? She shouldn’t know!” her voice was quavering.
“Layla, calm down. Father, pls explain.” The guys said again, who I think is Katsuro-sama, my real biological father.
“I don’t know Katsuro neither does Ikuto and Riko. She somehow discovered about it. Let her tell us, and please everybody sit down and keep yourselves comfortable.” Grandfather said seriously, he’s not so happy anymore. I don’t like this.
“Ana?” Ikuto-san looked at me. I sighed.
“I discovered about this in school, I was standing outside the student council room since they called for me. I heard people talking inside so I waited outside, I didn’t eavesdrop but once I heard Megumi’s voice I started listening. She was complaining about the boys being obvious towards me since I was starting to doubt and suspect something’s up. Since I couldn’t take it anymore, I barged in the room and ask them what’s this all about, and they told me. I run all the way back home and Ikuto-san and Riko-san told me the truth.” I said, looking down.
“It can’t be helped, you must know by now anyway. Ana we’ve missed you. I’m your father and this is your mother, Layla.” Katsuro-sama said. After Katsuro-sama talked, Layla-sama ran and hugged me, without me thinking I hugged her back. Why do I feel so comfortable around them? Is it because they’re my real family? But I just met them today, or I thought so.
“Ana, now you know are you going to come back to the Yamanaka Household?” My mother asked.
I froze; I don’t know what to do. I know I want to be with my family, but which family? Suddenly the door opened, and there the three heirs was standing, Daichi, Ryouta and Koutaru.
“Daichi, Koutaru and Ryouta sit down.” Grandfather said. They sat down and looked at me.
“Ana said she discovered about this because of you guys.” Grandfather said in a serious voice.
“Yes, we are sorry. We'll take whatever punishment you will give us.” Ryouta said.
“Now that she knows, we couldn’t do anything. Ana, are you gonna stay with the Tanaka or are you coming back to the Yamanaka Household?” asked Grandfather.
I gulped, “I decided I want to come back to the Yamanaka Household, I want to get closer to my real family. Ikuto-san and Riko-san I’m sorry but please don’t feel like I’ve abandon you.” I said.
“Oh Ana! Darling we’re not judging you,” said Riko-sand and she hugged me as well.
“Then that’s it, Ana we’ll be staying here in the Yamanaka Household from here on out. Ikuto-sand and Riko-san we thank you for taking of Ana and raising her up well, We will be taking care of here from now on.” Grandfather said, "Now I put you three in charge of her, on whatever it is. Answering her questions is also your job, of course."
“But I’ll come back here tomorrow, I haven’t packed my things or I wouldn’t have thought so.” I said.
“No worries Ana, we’ll pack your things and we’ll come back tomorrow. Have a good time here” Ikuto-san said, I ran towards him and hugged him and I whispered, “I will miss you guys badly. Especially Jun, he doesn’t know anything about this. This might shock him.”
“We’ll take care of it.” He said, smiling gently at me.
I walked with Ikuto-san and Riko-san until we reached the lobby then we said our goodbyes to one another. I waved at them until they couldn’t be seen.
I wonder, is staying with them the right choice? I don't mind hardships but I feel insecure.
