/> One of his eyebrows rose in confusion.

Wow seriously he forgot the warning about me kicking his ass again? Oh well more fun if he don’t see it coming.

I dropped the book to my side holding it tightly with both hands to swing. He still didn’t get it.

“I warned you.” I said manically.

I swung forward throwing my body into it as I made it halfway and he realized what he done. He went flying back as his face crunched and bent to the book. I threw it on his groaning stomach grabbing Skylar’s wrist to hall her to lunch.

If I go back to juvy fine I’m getting away from him at least.

I think I was scary looking because when we rounded the corner and met the lunch crowd they stared and backed away. I stopped remembering I had just ruined Skylar’s history book.

“Sorry about the book you can use mine I don’t think I’ll be here much longer.” I told her over my shoulder.

“Lux!”

Part Three

I spun to see Pablo holding a bloody hand to his face. My mouth twitched fighting a devilish smile that wanted to spread across my face.

I probably seem like a bitch now but whatever.

He advanced and struck his palm against my face. The slap rang out in the dead silent hall as everyone looked on in shock. I turned back to him glaring as he tried to choke me.

“Lux!” Skylar called out truly horrified.

I let him try and choke me out till it really started hurting then I broke his hold. I put my arms through the hole between his and swung down on his elbows so they bent. Then I shoved him back and away from me as I coughed some. Charging him I landed a blow to his face forcing him to pull back and block his already damaged bloody face.

I motioned for him to bring it.

Where are the cops? Were like right in front of the office. It couldn’t be any more obvious there’s a fight.

My eyes snapped back to Pablo to late and he kicked me in the gut. I hunched over and he slammed my neck on the corner of the jagged red brick wall. Air whooshed out of my throat as he shoved it down the rough edge drawing blood.

“Fight him Lux! Fight him!” Someone shouted.

I looked over to see Brandi standing being held by some teachers. My body was on the floor bleeding.

I didn’t think he was that serious, I would never have tried to kill him, literally.

My eyes closed as pain flamed in my neck and throat with every breath I took.

Brandi’s right I should fight but, I’m already in enough trouble I don’t want to make it worse.

“Screw the consequences fight him damn it!” She was somehow closer and whispered that to me.

My eyes flew open and I rolled onto my back finding Pablo standing over me with his fist raised in the air. I kicked out snapping his knee backwards making him howl and fall. I rolled away from him leaning against the corner of the brick wall for support as I stood.

His hand reached out and grabbed my ankle making me scream and fall down. My hands shot out grabbing onto Brandi’s so he couldn’t drag me back and punch me. I kicked at his face till he released me. Brandi looked at me worried for once instead of ready to jump in.

“Oh my god he did that?” She pointed to my neck.

I nodded unable to answer because a cop was reaching for me. I was jerked back from him and when I turned my head to look I saw Pablo’s fist coming for my face. I held my hands up in defense blocking the punch. Something sharp poked my side and I looked down to find a book. Skylar had circled around to give me her history book again.

“You mental asswhole.” He growled.

I took the book and swung up forcing Pablo to shut his trap. He stumbled back and I chucked the book at him hitting him low. I ran after him yelling best I could with my injury. He was doubled over from the book so I let my fist’s come down on his back to flatten him out.

Time to get serious,

I glared down at him and kicked his side over and over again till he caught my foot then I jumped up so I could switch kicking legs, I brought down my free leg on his arm. My butt hit the floor hard making me flinch but I had to worry about the advancing Pablo. He lashed out with his fists pummeling my side where my hernia was.

I screamed out in pain and then his blows stopped coming. When I looked down Brandi was on him again with her brass knuckles. She must have got away from the cop holding her or was fed up with him hurting me. I stood up and was cuffed.

Part Four

I struggled against the cuffs trying to get back out there and help Brandi. She was blocking punches from Pablo as he stared to gain the upper ground. Finally I was fed up and kicked the cop in the shin bolting for the fight before me. I lowered my shoulders and head charging him and knocking him off Brandi. We tumbled down to a set of benches and struck them.

I was lucky just my legs hit, Pablo on the other hand hit his head. I sat up best I could in cuffs and kicked him again for the hell of it.

Serves you right,

I thought. Again the cops dragged me away and out of the school. It wasn’t as much fun as the first time when I got to talk to Brandi on the way to the station. This time we had separate cars.

“You know young lady that is a serious crime you pulled.” The short officer said.

I looked out the window watching the trees thin out and the small town fly by me. I ignored any conversation with the officer I just kept watching the things outside. We got to the police station ten minutes later and he hauled me inside. I stared at the white tiled floor as they put me through processes and took me to a nurse. She treated my neck and attempted small talk. The only thing I caught was what mattered to me at the end.

“You could be tried as an adult you know, since you resisted arrest and assaulted and office, assault and battery too.” Her honey voice said.

When she patted the last of my bandage in I looked at her wide eyed.

Jail?!

She exited the room leaving me with the officer to take me to a holding cell. And whatever my future held for me.
