"On the bare upper slopes, as night was closing in, a shepherd fed me and shared his mint tea.
He said men often hid in the hills from this faction or that.
Who was I now? A man without a state, without a relationship, without a philosophy.
We sat round his small fire, the bells of the sheep tinkling gently close by in the shadows. It was then he told me the story of “the horseman and the snake."
White Hawk is coming home from the hospital, from 10 years now, he has been gone. He finally gets to come home. He can stay home as long as he keeps up with his medication. He does get better, his attitude changes, he even looks better. He get bad as he gets old, his brothers have to put him in a nursing home.
Jacob Smith and Jasmine Rhodes were a match made in heaven. Life on the farm was tough, but they had each other. All of this bliss ended one night by the death of Jasmine, under strange circumstances. If life was not depressing enough for Jacob, a deadly apparition would come for revenge. Revenge has a name. That name is...Mr. Snickerdoodles (the cat).
