Also, I do not do heavy technical editing until I am finished writing so any technical critiques will but noted but are unlikely to be applied until after the story is finished. Also, any similarities between Captain Alexander Shaw and Jack Sparrow are completely and totally intentional, as are his speech patterns.))

Two millennia ago, eight powerful crafters of magic ruled Mris. They stole that which was the worlds, and locked it away for their own benefit. Magic itself. Then came the war. The lands were devastated, and the artifacts lost along with magic. Two thousand years later, magic has become myth, along with the War of Eight. A man mysterious in origins believes, and is witness to the discovery of one of the Lost Eight and seems to know well their unimaginable power. Now he has set in motion a plan countless ages in the making. With the help of a young optimistic knight, a man of faith, an unusual lizard man and a wily young orphan; He has one last hope for Mris, A promise two millennia in the making.

The story opens in Melbourne in the mid 21st Century, as the world is on the brink of a calamitous nuclear conflict. Our hero, Simon Redhead, is a young university student who is unaware that his genetic make-up has conspired to make him a manifestation of the 'Everlasting Hero'. Simon is saved from the forces of evil that are also looking for him and taken to FirstWorld, where he learns about its history and the eternal battle between Law and Chaos into which he is to be thrust. FirstWorld is at the centre of the multiverse – perhaps an infinite number of dimensions that reflect the various probabilities of existence. Originally, there was a single universe and time was linear. We discover that Simon and another manifestation of the Everlasting Hero were responsible for the Sundering, which caused the formation of the multiverse. We are confronted with the possibility that Fate controls everything we do in life and that we have no control over our own actions.

Simon finds a group of friends and colleagues to help him in his great quest. There’s a wizard (one of the last of the wise, created by the Great Old Ones to maintain the Balance), an elf, a dwarf, a human warrior, a being of currently uncertain parentage who is the Hero’s companion, and a strange fellow who is perhaps a bard and could be either a friend or a foe. There are possible friends and potential enemies around every turn. There’s a wizard turned evil, who is the main protagonist in Volume One, and there’s the big evil bad guy who won’t be vanquished (or will he?) until Volume Four.

We follow two groups of this fellowship as they travel within FirstWorld and through the dimensions and have to overcome many challenges, as well as Simon’s individual journeys through time. Simon’s first quest is to find his Sword, a very powerful talisman, and learn how to control and use it. Others seek it too. When he finds it, there’s an internal moral struggle as to whether he should use its great power. After great soul searching and hiding away, Simon realises that he must accept and face his destiny as the Everlasting Hero and he must use the Sword to save his friends and defeat the evil wizard, just when all seems lost.

Quest for Knowledge is available in a single E-Book or in four smaller parts.

The Search for a Legend is Part 1 of Quest for Knowledge and takes Simon from his dimension to FirstWorld where he learns about the history and geography and discovers that everyone expects him to be their saviour.

She rolled the rug out of the way and revealed a star in a circle that was drawn out with white chalk on the floor...
“What’s that?”
“That…” she said as she went into Jenny’s dresser drawers and grabbed five different colored candles. “That is a pentacle.”
I swallowed and gave a little nod. She held out her hands and I had to scoot forward to take them. She told me to close my eyes and to relax. My eyelids draped my eyes but my heart wouldn’t calm down, no matter how much I tried. I was seriously feeling nauseous…
I opened my eyes a bit and found the circle beneath me lighting up and swirling with colors. My knees went weak and I could feel myself losing my balance.
“Caitlin!” I screamed before I fell in. My fall broke when Caitlin caught my hand. My body dangled and I forced my eyes not to look down.
Suddenly, the door slammed open and we heard “What’s going on?!”
Jenny just came in and immediately understood what was going on. She dove next to Caitlin and just when she went to reach for me, my hand slipped and I was falling deeper into the unknown.
“Anna!” I heard their voices scream into echoes. And then my world turned black…

For those of you who read Kvistr, these are some pictures that accompany the book. These pictures are mostly from the movie advertisements, but there is a map of the country that I edited for pro-Inheritance use. i did research for several hours and THIS IS THE ONLY PRO-INHERITANCE MAP OF ALAGAESIA! Yay! If you want a copy of it for yourself, just PM me.
I decided to make this book because I have a hard time describing any characters except Alanna and Faolan, so I figured this would help.

(WARNING: There are no religious views because I am not religious and know nothing about church or Christians or anything like that. You have been warned!)

"Why am I here?" I asked instantly, my eyebrows narrowed as her sons came in and one sat beside her, one beside me and I inched away from him.

"Getting straight to the point, I like that," Niall said, grinning at Liam and I glared at him before turning my attention back to the queen.

"Well, straight to the point is good," Lyssa said in her high, steely voice and suddenly, I was scared of what was coming next "You are to marry one of my boys,"
