Anushuya lived in the protective environment of the New Earth Zone where the outside world was no longer fit for living. Long ago some scientists and others had moved out of the Old Earth Zone to escape pollution and to create their unique world. There was no longer any contact between the two worlds. Anushuya was completing her school assignment when her computer started behaving strangely and she got connected to Tripti form the Old World Zone.
