I am Yasmeen Arafat, a college student in the faculty of English arts. I am so fond of reading English novels and poems for the English legends: Shakespeare, Jane Austen, Hawthorne, Bronte, etc...
This is one of my short stories that belongs to the fantasy category, where there is always a prince and princess, but it's not stereotypical. The heroine is a poor young talented girl who adores playing violin, didn't believe in herself the same as her mother, until one day she believed in herself again and everything in her life changed to better.
Pitney Dunkirk lives the life of a classical music rock star as a world class violinist.
But when his body rebels against him and takes away the one of the last things he has left of the life he loved - his ability to play his violin - he falls into a deep depression.
A widower who only has memories of his wife, Anita, and a greenhouse filled the orchids she loved falls into a deep depression that worsens each time he has to walk past his music room.
He hires Gretchen, a kind older woman, to tend to his housekeeping and he has no idea that welcoming her into his life opens the door to giving him a chance once again to love music.
After experiencing the tragic and traumatizing accident of her parents, Maria Amarante continues to live her deflated, monotone life, devoid of love. Maria thinks of herself as untalented, unwanted, unneeded, and useless. Society treats her as an outcast, and Maria grows up becoming a bitter and introverted person. However, she by chance encounters a piano genius boy, Sho Manabu, who does not know himself. Sho lost sight of who he is, what he wants, and his dreams; and one day meets Maria which he has something of hers.
THe more I listen’d the more I could I got the song. When she singing I can tell that she’s calm, that she’s in a place that she doesn’t get to go to often. She’s doing some thing that she loves. You tell by how much power she puts in her voce.. She stop play the guitar and put it back on the rack. She turned around and saw me. Her blue eyes got big like she was scared. Then they had some thing else in them but I didn’t know what because they where soon taking over by anger.
She came out of the room and lets say she’s amazingly pretty. Her black hair had red underneath it her lips where pink and plump with spider bits, her nose perfectly strait with a hop in it, and most of all her eyes. They where a deep dark blue that look’t like the ocean deep, they where coved in black eye liner and her bangs where just touching her long thick eye lashes. She was the most beautiful person I have seen.
“What do you think you are doing?” She yelled at me. Her voce..omfg it was amazing!!
I just look’t at her not knowing what to say.
Steal My Show
Steal my show is an all around musicians face-off where everyone and anyone from any school can participate. Given ten seconds once stepped on stage to sing and to impress the crowd to pass to the next stage. If you had successful got the crowd's attention you can continue until done. If not then you get booed and knocked off the list until next year when Steal my show starts back up again. Notifying that a person who already got booed can Steal your show and get another chance to pass to the next stage if you, yourself gets booed.
Sounds difficult.
Well to Annecy Nicole Hayes. She thinks it's a great challenge to take on.
She has the voice to do it.
There are just four problems.
*She has stage fright.
*A rather hot boy as her competition.
*Her best friend is competing in Steal My Show.
*Her Enemy is also competing in Steal My Show.
Add her falling in love with her competitor and you have bad luck.

A truly panoramic book consisting of five books of overt or subtle autobiographical origin, featuring culture, history, art, verse, despair, addiction, humour, redemption, faith, love and so much more besides; a truly incredible experience, chockful of fascinating facts and tales; and all with a Christian basis. But that’s not to say “Where the Halling Valley River Lies” has attained its definitive state, because by its very nature, it can be added to ad infinitum. So that it remain perpetually fluid and perpetually inchoate. And in perpetual evolution.
