We believe that God has a divine design for Lake Hills. He has blessed us greatly, and with great blessing comes great responsibility. But He doesn’t expect us to do anything on our own. He has equipped us with everything we need to accomplish amazing things - things beyond our wildest dreams - things that He desires to do in us, and through us, if we will just let Him.
From the beginning it has been clear that God's hand has been on our Church. To do more requires an “all in” commitment of sacrifice and generosity. To go “all in” means to leave behind the comforts and securities of who we are (or maybe who we aren’t) and jump into the life that is truly life.
Now we could just wade along the shore - many Christians do this. Wading will definitely get our feet wet. But this God-sized vision of “beyond our wildest dreams” requires more.
We’'d like to tell you all about this God-sized vision, and hope that you’ll take some prayerful time to consider what the your part witll be as you decide to go “all in” and...CANNONBALL with us!
God wants you to have a meaningful life, in relationship with him through his son, Jesus.
He doesn’t force that desire on you.
He gives you a choice…
On your own, there is nothing you can do to bring yourself into a right relationship with God. Good works won’t do. Religion won’t do it. Morality won’t do it. Neither will money nor philosophy nor knowledge nor science. This book is designed to help you get started on your journey, with five steps that will get you started in:
• Studying your Bible
• Praying to God
• Friendships
• Experiencing Baptism
• A Life of Worship
God says in the Bible that anyone who belongs to Jesus has become a new person… a new life has begun! If you asked Jesus to forgive you of your sins and to be the Lord of your life, then, according to God Himself, you are a new creation! As of right now, real life starts – welcome to the ultimate journey!
