This is a transition chapter. Like Revelation 12, it could well stand alone and be read apart from the prophetic mainstream that flowed from the pen of Isaiah. Similarly, it, like Revelation 12, has elements of an "overview" of spiritual history as it relates to God's people. It is as if the prophet wanted his readers to have the "big picture."
As an introductory work, our purpose is to provide the conscientious student a framework to facilitate a command of the Bible.
This presentation will be from a position of belief, not one of antagonism or skepticism.
The objective is to eliminate the confusion that can arise from reading the Bible without context or point of reference.
Hopefully the material in these pages will furnish the student a compass to navigate Biblical truth.
This work is not intended as a replacement for reading the Bible; it is intended as a preparation for studying the Bible, an aid in understanding revealed truth.
It is my hope and prayer that all who read this book will experience greater depth of understanding when reading God’s Word.
