Story of a girl surving a troubled childhood and how it affects her into her adulthood. It is a work in progress.
A glimpse into the life of a young boy growing up in the south.
Malinda. She is just an average girl who goes to school, has friends, but takes a curious interest in a silent girl. The kinda girl that doesn't talk to anyone, just leans up against a wall and keeps to herself. Once Malinda sees her at school and gets curious she starts to see her more often. One day the girl goes missing, but she doesn't want to let anyone know that she has taken interest in fear of being made fun of. All while dealing with trying to figure out the girl Malinda has to deal with he family breaking apart along with dealing with her new boyfriend Owen, her best friend Max, and their new hate towards each other.
I plan to enter this in the Flash Fiction contest. Any constructive criticism for me? Or destructive? I'll take anything really.
Growing up is not always easy, but growing up with family is the best. The ninety's were hard, but I was tough.
To say it all began easily would be a faux pas. It started abruptly, with
shakes and quivers so capricious that it was hard to say exactly where the
act of vitalization really began.
A collection of seven poems written by Alexandra Laird during the summer of 2009. Many of the writings are nostalgic, looking back on a past age in childhood or grieving experiences lost to disease, while others were written with insights gained from living with the same disease that took so much.
Growing up, the plastic cups were always stained kaleidoscopic, but no one ever seemed to notice. It was just one of the side effects of having Jules as a younger brother.
