A compilation of wonderful stories about growing up in Chicago in the 1930's and 40's. Angie was the only daughter of Max and Stella Slisz, two imigrants from Russia and the Ukraine in the early 1900's. Angie was inspired to write down all the stories she told to her own children and then her grandchildren when her grandson Mikey responded to her comparison of life when she grew up versus his life today. Mikey coined the phrase which became the title of the book - "But Grandma, it's NOT the olden days anymore!"
