Mara Starr isn't social; she would probably drop dead the day a boy even looked at her with the 'eyes'(the I-love-you eyes). She's the loner you would find hovering over any kind of electrical device or book in a corner of any room. She can't take big crowds because they freak her out and she fears lighting storms.
