Short stories about bizarre mental health disorders. The mind is the most terrifying place of all!

A second volume of short stories and poetry translated from the Hebrew.

Twenty years have passed since Rowan Blaize faced his greatest magical foe, but the ancient warlock is still on-the-run with his mortal foundling, Miranda. What better place to lay low than the charming seaside town of St. Augustine, Florida? The Ancient City, however, is already home to voyeuristic ghosts, cocktail-loving vampires, werewolf comedians, and three highly eccentric witches! Rowan's monster-mash celebration is all set for Halloween night, but when a cursed ring crosses paths with a beauty pageant brat, a catastrophe is unleashed upon the partying Ancient City ... and possibly the world. Can the witches stop bickering long enough to combine their powers and avert disaster, or will Rowan's worst fears about an enemy from the past be realized? 'Rowan Blaize and the Hand of Djin Rummy' (Enchanted Heritage Chronicles: Book II) is a novel that blends enchantment, satire, suspense, and horror in a delectable cauldron's-brew-of-a-tale. Fabulous new characters are introduced, elaborate back-stories reveal much about Rowan's extraordinary past, and tantalizing questions are posed about his future.

Virtues of War offers a glimpse of humanity's possible future, of our expansion into space and the cultural and emotional baggage that we will take with us. Within an action-packed, high-tech setting with cutting edge science and fantastic worldscapes, this sci fi novel explores the effects of physical and psychological warfare and the ways in which realistic, human characters react to them. Unlike many military sci fi novels, Virtues of War is a story of the personal, rather than the technical. Lieutenant Katja Emmes is a platoon commander who was transferred last-minute to be the leader of the 10-trooper strike team carried aboard the fast-attack craft Rapier. Although fully trained, she has never led troops in real operations before, and she is haunted by the shadow of her war-hero father. Sublieutenant Jack Mallory is fresh out of pilot school, reluctantly doing his duty in the mysterious world of extra-dimensional warfare while pining for the glamour of a fighter pilot position in the space fleet. Day-dreaming his way through life, Jack is in for a rude awakening. Lieutenant Commander Thomas Kane is poised for promotion, and he knows that this six-month deployment in command of Rapier is the single, best chance to secure his rise to stardom within the Astral Force. He has already learned that performance alone isn't enough and actively dabbles in the subtle politics of his professional world, but he will learn that there are far more dangerous foes than the ones he can see. Set far enough in the future to present a society that has evolved and splintered from our own, Virtues of War is a sci fi novel that reveals the traits common in any age, and ultimately looks at the heart of what makes us human.

Crime's an ugly constant in the big city. L.A. Chicago. New York. But when a savage murder brutalizes a small town and neighbor turns on neighbor, a tough-as-nails cop is essential to restoring order.

Blood Land is a gritty, emotional saga set in the Wyoming badlands with both greed and vengeance at its core. When billions of dollars in natural gas rights hang in the balance and the town's top law officer's wife is slain by her own blood, a reluctant hero is forced to battle his own demons and ultimately choose between justice, revenge, and duty.

In the tradition of Dennis Lehane, Tony Hillerman and James Lee Burke, Guthrie's sparse, haunting storytelling compliments his talent for creating richly-drawn, unflinching law officers with human frailties and a sense of justice.

Tennyson's classic manages to capture both the honor of those who died and the utter futility of the charge. Patriotic, yet also pulling no punches about the horror of war.

A small collection of selected infra-real poems by George G. Asztalos, Romanian author of The Second Infra-Realist Manifesto and of the collection of quotes entitled The Hidden Thoughts of Dracula. These poems tell us that the Animal world is more authentic than the Human one because animals do not wear masks when they walk away from home, they are themselves each and every second of their life and do not fake any of their feelings whatsoever. Authenticity and Reality, together with Love are the main characters of this book. Poetry of today suffers of too much bla-bla, obscurity and fiction, so poets must get back to reality and true senses of love and nature, not to dream green horses on the walls. A sort of animal poetry must be recovered from the euphemistic contemporary caged poems and released to the wild. That is what Zoon Poetikon is doing and reading it is a celebration of life and joy!

Tawana Saunders is writing the great American novel. Problem is, six months into the project, she’s only got a rough draft plus three lousy paragraphs.

This dystopian Sci-Fi ShortNovella depicts a futuristic world of 2077, where the last two sentient beings Ot and Ve have to find the Seven Magnetic Keys in order to save their people, who had been infected with a deadly virus by their government. The two sentient androids have to fight against a malefic world order and its henchmen in order to preserve the human soul and mind for future generations.
