King, clergy, and nobles were compelled to submit to the atrocities of an excited and maddened people. Their thirst for vengeance was only stimulated by the execution of the king; and those who had decreed his death soon followed him to the scaffold. A general slaughter of all suspected of hostility to the Revolution was determined. The prisons were crowded, at one time containing more than two hundred thousand captives. The cities of the kingdom were filled with scenes of horror. One party of revolutionists was against another party, and France became a vast field for contending masses, swayed by the fury of their passions. “In Paris one tumult succeeded another, and the citizens were divided into a medley of factions, that seemed intent on nothing but mutual extermination.” And to add to the general misery, the nation became involved in a prolonged and devastating war with the great powers of Europe.

However, they chose one of the animal reserves belonging to Howard Richard Deacon II and his son--who are rumored on internet conspiracy sites to be werewolves.

Solutions: The Dilemma for Men is the fifth story in a series of seven that explores one's relationship with self, others, and ultimately with our Lord God. The story picks up where The Dilemma for the Gods leaves off.  Long after the emergence of the children into the Good World, the children had lived in relative peace and safety. But suddenly grumblings began. Comfort was taken away by decisions of the Central Council. The Council instilled fear into all. Men and women once again were led away from God and forced to heed only to the Council's decisions. But for Louis, acceptance of the change was not taken lightly. Tired of the grumblings, wanting a break from the struggle, he looks to a path leading away from the guarded perimeter of the Village he lives and works at and suddenly the spirit of adventure overcomes him. Wondering where the road leads to, he talks his way past security and with nothing holding him back starts travelling down the road. But where that path takes him and what is experienced along the way will be a test of his faith, and maybe the end of it.
