When she dribbled and shot that ball everyone would cheer and chant her name. She was really good at it. I wasn’t. I played soccer. There was a huge mango tree which had branches jutting over the roof. We would climb, sit on the roof, picked the ripe mangoes, peeled them with bare hands and ate. The whole minecraft world you're in... It was drawn, by a well known god. Notch. He first summoned a pen to draw an entire world. Once he was done, he drew trees to provide shade for the life he was about to draw. He started out with pigs. Later came cows, then sheep. Then, he figured some life should not be as nice as sheep... or pigs. So he drew the spider. Still he wanted less nice life... or death. So at night he made Zombies... then the Skeleton. Next, he felt like a little destructive, so he decided to draw the creeper. However, he felt it still wasn't complete. He got the idea after seeing a Zombie. Maybe a living version of the zombie, so he drew the person that this very story is about. He drew Steve...

"He straightens his hat, then places his whiskey on the piano."

A comedic short poem/story inspired by fictional characters and first dates.

A poor girl with horrible nightmares and one question that will change her life.

The young beautiful lady’s name was Fortunata. She was in her twenties when she was planning her destiny for life. A new life in a new land in a new world with the love of her life, Antonio. They both were plotting to run away to a place far away called America. The streets, they said, there were paved with gold. They could give their love and relationship a chance to nourish and grow. They could start their own family in a new world. The reason that Fortunata’s family did not approve of their love affair was because Antonio was her family’s gardener. A gardener in Italy back in the early nineteen hundreds was considered a mere peasant and classified as the lower class. Fortunata was strictly forbidden by her family to marry beneath her class. Therefore she had no other choice but to elope with her man to a new land. An escape to freedom and paradise was evident but the streets in this new land were not paved with gold but were a hard road to hoe. This is a true story of one woman’s determination and strong will to succeed and to never give up on her dreams to pursue and create a new life in a new land. Fortunata never gave up on that new world and most importantly she never looked back. This story is a tribute to my grandmother Fortunata Blassetti DiFelice.

What do you do when the past is too painful to face? Little Martin discovers there is more to the world than the pain he has suffered.
