mouth, trying not to use too much force. "Keeping what? You know if you want money you really don't need to go to this extent. I don't have any anyway." The man behind her let out another long laugh. This was getting tiring, it was like a little cycle. The faceless man would say something. She would respond and the black and white clown would find it amusing. It was getting old. "Look....... If love to stay and chat.... But I REALLY have to go.... So if you'll excuse me...." She suddenly jumped away from the clown and was about to leap forward when a black tentacle shot out towards her leg. It wrapped around her ankle and she fell forward. Hitting her head on the edge of the carousel, she cried out.

The pain was only for a second before she was back on her feet and yanked her ankle out of the tentacle. Not even bothering to stop and wonder what it was, she shot away again, running as fast as she could and not caring about trying to keep at a natural speed. She ran and weaved through all the rides but no matter where she went. The laughter seemed to be everywhere. She soon saw a large roller coaster, the cart still moving at a fast speed along the tracks. The laugher had disappeared again but was replaced with that strange eery feeling.

She moved closer to the functioning roller coaster and examined the control panel. It look untouched. Everything looked untouched, as of nobody had been here at all. She was still on edge and jumpy from before and kept glancing around, expecting a tall featureless man to be standing behind her. Normally she would just leave, but she needed to know what happened to her best friend and why everyone suddenly disappeared. And it seemed like the only people who could explain that were the two strange men. As if on queue, she heard an abrupt chuckle from right behind her. Spinning around, her wrists were suddenly snatched up "you're a strange one aren't you little blue head?" Erin scowled at that but didn't try and run away this time. Whoever he was, he didn't scare her anymore and she needed answers.

"Okay who the hell are you and where's my friend? And what the hell is this thing you think I'm keeping?" The man giggled then sighed "My names Laughing Jack! But you can call me as you wish." A smirk appeared on his face and his colourless eyes glanced behind her. Without even looking she knew the other man was behind her. Sighing, she stood there then nodded slowly, "okay I'll call you jack ass" which the only response to was a giggle. "Where are you keeping the stopwatch Katherine" the voice snapped in her head again. Erin flinched and her eyes widened in surprised. He knew her full name? "How-" she was about to ask when she got cut off by the clown "Nevermind that, just answer the question. Where's the locket? If you tell us then you can return to your friend."

This game they were playing was starting to irritate Erin more and more. "I don't know what you're talking about!! I don't have any stupid watch or anything! Look. If you're like.... Some teenage kids looking for money then I don't have any. Everything we own is in one freaking bag back at the hotel. And if it's something stolen you're looking for-" "yes" the voice interrupted her "we're looking for a stolen stopwatch... And only one of your kind are able to carry it without be affected by its power" Erin froze. One of her kind? Did they know what she was? But how? Swallowing the lump in her throat. Erin searched her mind for anything that might be what they were searching for "I really.... Really... Don't know what you're talking about.... If it's something stolen..... My friend probably has it... But trust me, she's not one of my kind.. So whatever this 'stopwatch' is you're looking for... You've got the wrong vampire"

Sighing, 'laughing jack' as she now found out was his name, released her wrists. "But we know the stopwatch is in this area.... It HAS to be you..." He said sounding almost confused. "Slenderman?" Risking a glance behind her, Erin saw that the faceless man looked as if he were thinking, there was a crease in his forehead where she assumed would be above his eyes. Staring back at her, he finally nodded his head seeming to come to a conclusion. "You said you have a friend?" his voices echoed in her head. Erin paused for a moment, she really didn't want to bring Lana into this... But if she HAD stolen something from these people. It would be a lot safer if she returned it "Yes..... Her name's Lana.... But I assure you she is not a vampire...."

Laughing jack seemed to come to the same conclusion as Slenderman, backing away from Erin and nodding to Slenderman. "So then we go on another goose chase!" A laugh erupted from him and he started skipping backwards."wait-!" Erin tried to reach forwards towards them, she wanted to follow them if they were going to lead her to Lana. But before she could do anything. Her body went numb and she was surrounded by black.

Chapter three

It had all happened so fast. One moment Lana was storming off, next she heard a thud. Spinning around she saw Erin fall to the ground limp. Sprinting over she saw that Erin's eyes were still open and her mouth moved as if she was speaking. Lana knelt down next to her and picked up Erin's wrist forgetting that she didn't have a pulse. Deciding that she had no idea to help she just sat back waiting for her to wake up. Anxiety filled her, causing her to immediately start chewing on her nails. A couple minutes passed but Erin didn't change. Lana didn't know what she could do, she accidentally rips the nail off her finger and yelps at the tug on her skin. A thin red line trickled down her finger.

Either she was too distracted by the blood and Erin, or she was just out of it, because she didn't notice the monochrome clown behind her until a giggle was heard. Lana's eyes widen as she slowly turned her head. The only thing she could see was a face. A pale face with soulless black eyes and shaggy black hair. "Give it to me Lana" the thing said in a raspy voice. Normally she would've had a perverted come back to that but this time nothing came out of her mouth. The clown thing only appeared to find this amusing which made him erupt in giggles. Suddenly she felt something cold on her arm, looking down she saw that a black tentacle thing was wrapped around her arm. She yelped in alarm and was spun around abruptly, her jaw dropped at the sight she came to face. It was enough to make anyone sick.

Before her was probably every single body that had entered the carnival. But they weren't moving, they were butchered. Absolutely butchered. Blood and entrails spread about everywhere. Lana was frozen in terror but not from the fact that dead people were in front of her. She was scared because the 'clown' was probably the cause. The 'clown' who was right behind her. The 'clown' who could do anything to her. She pulled out a small knife and slid it through the tentacle. Black goo started to pour out of it, then she saw that the tentacle did not in fact belong to the clown. It belonged to a tall man dressed like the perfect groom. Only thing this groom was missing was a face. A FREAKING FACE!! Lana struggled to breathe as her vision grew hazy.

"They want....... Something... Stolen..." Came the voice of Erin. Lana immediately took a step towards her but a pale hand with rugged black claws encircled her wrist. Terror consumed her as the claws ended just against her stomach, the slightest movement would end up in her death. The hand belonged to the clown, Lana faced him with a look of horror. "Don't be afraid of old Laughing Jack! We are friends, are we not?" He spoke with his usual raspy voice. Lana gaped at him "FRIENDS!!! YOU BUTCHERED EVERYONE!!" Her accent came out strong as she spoke which caused her words to blend together so that they didn't make sense.

The clown, which she now knew was called Laughing Jack, erupted in laughter. "Slenderman can we keep her?" He spoke to the tall facless man. 'KEEP ME? I will have you know I am not a pet! I take kick-boxing thank you!' was went through her mind. As that thought passed her it made her mad. Mad enough that she heated up enough and a spark came out of her finger. Laughing Jack immediately pulled back. "She.... She burned me!!" Which made him laugh! 'This guy is insane!!' Lana thought. Out of the corner of her eye she saw Erin stand. Almost instantly Erin was beside Lana. A voice appeared in both of their heads."Give us the watch." It spoke. Lana's eyes widened in confusion. A voice just spoke in her head! That was when she back-tracked! A watch? She had stolen a watch yesterday from a hollowed out tree deep in the forest.

It looked mighty old, and expensive. One thing she had noticed that holding the watch made her feel sick. She had just thought it was guilt from the thievery. Which didn't make sense considering the fact that she stole things all the time. Erin recognized the look on Lana's face. "You know what he's talking about? Give it to him so we can leave!" Laughing Jack spoke up "Case solved. Now give it to us!" Lana shook her head "I do not have it with me!" Laughing Jack and Slenderman? both looked towards each other and seemingly had a conversation. That was when it clicked in Lana's mind. 'Telepathy is how the faceless one communicates.' After a couple minutes the clown turned back to them. "You will go back at get the watch then meet us at the tree where you found it at sundown tomorrow night. If you are not there by then, we will kill both of you."

Lana opened her mouth to say somethin in reply, but both of them seemed to just vanish into thin air. Erin turned to Lana, sighing. "I didn't even get my doughnuts Lala" She pouted. Lana's eyes widened "I THOUGHT YOU WERE THE SENSIBLE ONE ERIN!!" Lana practically exploded. Erin shook her head with a grim look. Obviously she was just trying to lighten the mood. Strange since that was normally Lana's job. Lana tugged at Erin's sleeve "Come on. Lets go" Finally they left the body-ridden carnival.

Luckily they were just in time. Soon the place was filled with police men. As they traveled back to the hotel Erin had a strange feeling if bein followed. She didn't tell Lana because she wouldn't want her to worry, ut maybe she should have. Maybe it wasn't just paranoia.(A/N: Sorry that I didn't upload the whole thing before.
