Chapter Five
We did some serious digging ahead of time and found Mitchell’s mansion as planned on Pointers Run road near my birthplace of River Hill. After ditching our vehicles out of sight in front of the entrance, we drew our weapons and slowly walked up to the front door and stacked up on either side before I kicked it open with surprisingly incredible ease. A deathly and unearthly silence filled the air as we made our way up the stairs into the main hall. I was a bit surprised as for a wanted mad wolf with an illegal license to kill, I could’ve sworn he would be a little bit better prepared for any and all of the odds against him. We approached the door at the far end of the hall and on the count of three, Gevo kicked it open and almost instantly we found just who had we’d been looking for the whole time. Just as we had originally planned, there was Vance Mitchell in all his wicked and sinister glory with that trademark signature psychopathic smirk plaguing his muzzle with about two of his jackal guards having their guns drawn and staring coldly at us with their fingers edging the triggers as we walked in quickly did the same. I wasted no time in letting lose a bullet from my desert eagle into the two bodyguards’ heads and then focused my full attention back to Mitchell who only clapped his paws in a twisted and revolting manner. “Congratulations, officers.” He said in a venomous tone. “You did it. You caught me right where I stand. I’ll make sure you both get a medal of valor for this.” “It’s over, Mitchell.” I said, baring my teeth. “We’ve frozen all of your assets so there’s nowhere else for you to run or hide so give up now or we can make you surrender. Your choice.” “Ooh. Sounds tempting but no dice. There’s no way I’m letting a six point five million dollar operation go so easily. And just think of all the rest of the dough I’ll be bathing in once you two are dead and gone. So, I’m sorry, Gevo but you were a fool not to even see this coming sooner. Prepare to say your goodbyes.” He raised the gun in his paw and pulled the trigger but before he could even have time to aim, Gevo rushed at him with full force and almost instantly began wailing on him with a various array of solid punch combinations to his face and jaw and was just about to go for another when Mitchell grabbed his right paw and returned fire with a hook of his own to his right cheek, knocking him off rather quickly. Just before he could get up however, Gevo jumped to his feet and grabbed the back of Mitchell’s head, shoving his face as hard as he could three times into the solid wood floor before racking a right hook across his face and yanking him on his feet to throw him back first into the nearby window. Battered, weary, and now severely beaten with several cuts and lacerations, Mitchell slowly staggered onto his feet and let out a wicked, maniacal laugh before saying, “Come on, boyoh. Beat me till you can beat me no more. You know there’s only one real way to stop me.” “No.” Gevo replied simply. Mitchell only laughed at this and continued to taunt Gevo even further. “Come on, young blood. Do you duty. Do as I trained you to and end me!” “No!” “Gevo, look out!” I cried as Mitchell slowly crept up behind him with a long shard of glass. I brought my trusty desert eagle up to aim and put two precisely aimed bullets into the throat and head of Mitchell, putting him down almost instantly and after a few moments of gurgling on his own blood, he was soon lights out and never to be seen or heard from by anyone again forever and all eternity. “The old Gevo I know would’ve filleted him.” I said taking a couple steps toward him and smiling. “My brother deserves better than that.” He replied, smiling back with a wink. “And most of all, you.” I smiled even wider and looked deep into his eyes, wrapping my paws around him and pulling him in close until both of our muzzles pressed together in a warm, moist kiss. We walked slowly down the hall, wrapped tightly in each other’s love and enjoying one another’s company until we pushed open the doors and strolled gingerly through them back into the outside world and our two vehicles parked out front.
